President Donald Trump hit Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for taking the endorsement of Rick Snyder, the former governor of Michigan.
Snyder is a Republican and Camp Biden loves to paint a distorted picture that there are many in the GOP who are backing the Democrat — Trump’s approval rating with Republicans may say otherwise.
Taking to Twitter the day before he visits the important battleground state for a rally in Oakland County, the president reminded followers of Snyder’s role in the infamous Flint water crisis, where he was accused of mishandling the situation, saying that he’d never accept his support.
“I would NEVER have taken the endorsement of the man who, through gross incompetence, poisoned the people of Flint, Michigan. Former RINO Governor Rick Snyder should be ashamed of himself and his service. I was asked to help fix it. Biden took his endorsement. VOTE TRUMP!!!

Snyder, who announced Sept. 3 that he was voting for Biden, appeared Thursday on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” — where else? — to speak on his support for the 77-year-old former vice president.
“We shouldn’t let partisanship get in the way of good decision-making for our country,” Snyder said. “Joe Biden is a better decision than Donald Trump for the next four years.”
Ironically, lifelong Democrat Maurice Davis, vice president of the Flint city council, endorsed President Trump for reelection this week.
Speaking at a campaign rally headed by Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday, Davis rejected the storyline that Democrats have been pushing.
“Right now, the narrative [has] been spent – President Trump is full of hate. Let me tell you something, the Democrats [are] full of hate,” Davis told the crowd. “I’m tired, I’ve been a Democrat, I am a Democrat, all my life, 64 years…This year, I decided to go with President Trump. I’m not a bootlicker; I’m not an Uncle Tom. I’m none of those things. I’m somebody that’s in a poor, impoverished community…”
As for Flint residents being exposed to lead in their water, the state just agreed to a massive payout — at taxpayer expense, of course.
“The state of Michigan agreed in August to pay $600 million to residents harmed in the Flint water crisis, which began in April 2014, after the city of Flint pulled water from the Flint River for 18 months without treating it to reduce corrosion. The water caused lead contamination from untreated old pipes,” The Detroit News reported.
As the newspaper noted, Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes in 2016, his smallest margin of victory nationally, and he lost Oakland County by 8 percent to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
