A spokesman for Joe Biden did not directly dispute reports that the Democratic nominee spoke to a one-time business partner who blew the whistle on alleged corruption involving the former vice president, his son Hunter, and his brother James Biden.

In a Thursday morning interview with Cheddar TV’s J.D. Durkin, Biden national spokesman Jamal Brown brushed aside questions about bombshell New York Post revelations earlier this month linking the former VP and son Hunter to potentially corrupt business deals in Ukraine, China, and elsewhere.

Brown also dismissed a question regarding a claim earlier this week by former Biden family business associate Tony Bobulinski, who told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson he met directly with Joe Biden in 2017 to discuss a China business deal, despite the former vice president’s prior claims he didn’t know anything about his son’s foreign business dealings.

Durkin noted that Brown told a network colleague a day after the initial Post report that because big tech censored the story it was an indication that allegations made within it were false.

“I was curious if that’s still your position…they are false, as far as your concerned,” Durkin said.

Brown did not patently deny the allegations.

“Look, we’re not gonna waste any seconds on this smear campaign,” Brown began, going on to falsely claim that President Donald Trump has “paid more money in taxes to China than he has to the United States of America.

“So we’re not gonna waste any time on that. It’s another distraction. We need to keep our eyes on on the prize,” he continued, noting that the election is in a few days.

In a follow-up, Durkin hit on the new allegations made by Bobulinski, who flatly accused Joe Biden of lying when he said previously he had no dealings at all with his family’s business dealings.

“Did those meetings happen when Joe Biden was a private citizen?” Durkin asked.

Brown again demurred.

“We’re not gonna waste any time on this smear campaign because it’s just another distraction…again, away from four years of Donald Trump’s reckless policies and his failed leadership,” Brown said.

“I’m not gonna accept the premise of the question,” he continued. “We have five days to keep our eyes on the prize, and again, that is to vote Joe Biden the next president of the United States.”

Bobulinski was the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, a company set up to interact with Chinese business interests, some of which were reportedly linked to the Communist government. In his interview with Carlson, pointedly denounced the former vice president for claiming he never met with him.

“When he states that, that is a blatant lie,” the former naval officer charged. “Obviously, the world is aware that I attended the debate last Thursday … and I’ll be honest with you, I almost stood up and screamed liar and walked out because I was shocked that after four days, or five days that they prepped for this, that the Biden family is taking that position to the world.”

The whistleblower said he met Joe Biden at the Beverly Hills Hilton in May 2017 to talk about a deal in the works between Sinohawk and then-Chinese conglomerate CEFC.

“Of course, I didn’t request to meet with Joe, they requested that I meet with Joe,” he explained. “They were putting their entire family legacy on the line. They knew exactly what they were doing. They were dealing with a Chinese owned enterprise … that had strong financial support and political support from the Chinese Communist Party.

“That’s how it was presented to me,” he continued. “That’s not my own words. That’s how they presented it to me and read me in on it.”
