The fascinating thing about Trump Derangement Syndrome is that much like cancer, it has the power to spread to and destroy all parts of a system like, say, Hollywood.
At the moment, multiple Hollywood celebrities face the TDS-inspired wrath of left-wing zealots because of their decision to defend one of their peers, actor Chris Pratt, for the crime of being a member of a devoutly Christian church located in Los Angeles.
The church, Zoe Church, faces dubious allegations of being anti-“LGBTQ” because of its founder’s biblically accurate views on homosexuality, which is a sin.
Because of these allegations, Pratt has been targeted for cancellation by the woke mob, which is convinced that he’s a secret supporter of President Donald Trump.
Bothered by the attacks on their friend, several figures, some of them also Hollywood stars, began coming out in his support this week, including Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Renner, James Gunn, Katherine Schwarzenegger, etc.
And thanks to their defense of Pratt, they all now face cancellation as well, because that’s how TDS works. It’s a pernicious cancer that eats away at people’s brain, turning them into hateful, spiteful, irrational monsters, for a lack of a better word.
As an example, just look at the deranged replies that Ruffalo, a known anti-conservative bigot, provoked after he posted a tweet Tuesday defending Pratt:
You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.
— Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 20, 2020
I wouldn’t be ‘overtly political’ either if I supported a fascist neo nazi despot wannabe.
— Keith Eveslage (@KeithShow) October 21, 2020
Suggestion, if you don’t want the blow back, keep your political affiliations to yourself. If you support a man who has paid NDA women and girls, is racist and a fascist there are consequences. @prattprattpratt is not the man I thought. Disappointed and pretty sure Arnold is too

If you think calling out support of a fascist like Trump is a distraction, you are the problem. Don’t lecture about having eyes on the prize. You have no idea what the prize is.

Sorry. Not going to cape for rich white guys who are anti-LGBTQ and support fascists. That fails the “nice” test completely. This was a very disappointing tweet,

C’mon Mark. We are way past the point of defending those who are voting to dismantle our democracy and take us back to the 18th century. We have all had to walk away from friends and family. Don’t be that guy that talk from both sides of your mouth
— SirRaytheonHuffingpaint(WearAMask) (@born_like_dis) October 20, 2020
“Arnold” refers to Pratt’s father-in-law, former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Robert Downey Jr. has also defended Pratt, but via Instagram instead:
Everything the Twitter users above claimed about the president — that’s he’s a “fascist,” that he’s trying to “dismantle our democracy,” etc. — is unhinged crazy talk.
To see more unhinged rhetoric, just view the responses to the tweets below:
No matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up and handle it.

You got this @prattprattpratt . Your family, friends, colleagues & everyone who’s ever crossed paths with you knows your heart and your worth!— Zoe Saldana (@zoesaldana) October 21, 2020
Seconded. They don’t get better than @prattprattpratt https://t.co/Fb7TuYuByf
— Josh Gad (@joshgad) October 20, 2020
Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world. I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian. https://t.co/XSIgU9WemX
— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) October 20, 2020
None of these people are known Trump supporters, but it doesn’t matter. #OrangeManBad, and thus everyone linked to the Orange Man — even if those links are dubious, at best — is bad as well. That’s how it works with the left-wing mob.
And so it’s no surprise that left-wing zealots are now convinced that, one, all these actors are Trump supporters, and two, they’re “complicit” in the president’s non-existent crimes:
Whatever. Maybe they like Trump, too?
— jojofancyhat (@jojofancyhat) October 21, 2020
Nope. If you stand by your defense of this grifting, lying, vengeful, misogynistic, racist, incompetent #IMPOTUS45 squatting in the Oval Office, you are complicit. #truthmatters #HereRightMatters #VoteHimOut
— Paula Scia Vote Early #BidenHarris2020 (@scia_p) October 21, 2020
They can tweet #truthmatters all they want, but it’s clear as day from their unhinged rhetoric that logic, reason and truth don’t matter an iota to them.
All the hoopla over Pratt reportedly began after television writer Amy Berg posted a poll Saturday featuring the photos of four Hollywood actors named Chris and asked users to choose which one was the worst and “had to go.”
Look:
One has to go. pic.twitter.com/HUWnbQOA43
— Amy Berg (@bergopolis) October 17, 2020
The poll led to left-wing zealots bringing up Pratt’s Christian faith and church, which in turn led to the cancellation mob targeting him for elimination.
According to the mob, his sins also include his support for gun rights, his “refusal” to not participate in a fundraiser with Democrat vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris and his alleged animal cruelty that never actually happened.
Rather, years ago his then-wife, Anna Faris, “tried to get rid of the family’s pet Chihuahua” by just tossing it out onto the streets, according to the New York Post.
But again, it doesn’t matter. Only #OrangeManBad matters, and since Pratt shares the same Christian faith as the Orange Man, the truth itself doesn’t matter.
