While habitually loud, obnoxious and rude CNN host Don Lemon has gotten away with disrespecting numerous people, particularly Trump supporters, it appears this “punk a–” won’t be getting away with disrespecting legendary rapper Ice Cube.

After Cube appeared on CNN late Friday to speak with host Chris Cuomo on a host of topics, including police brutality, Lemon essentially accused him of being ignorant.

“I don’t want to disrespect him, he’s very accomplished. I’ve only met him a few times, nice guy, but one needs to know what one is talking about,” he said.

“One needs to educate oneself on just what is, other than the basics about capital, which is important, about voting, which is important, and so on and so forth. So you have to be careful who you align yourself with. So you have to educate yourself about that.”

Note that this was said after Cube had left, meaning it was essentially said behind the rapper’s back but in front of the entire country. Cube didn’t appreciate this at all, as he made clear in the following brutally blunt tweet posted Saturday morning.

(*Language warning):

Whether or not Lemon will accept the rapper’s challenge remains unclear. What’s known is that Lemon is among a large contingent of black and white liberal elitists who’ve basically been acting like they’re better than Cube.

The disdain and condescension toward him stems from his otherwise widely praised decision to work with President Donald Trump’s administration toward developing a plan specifically for struggling black communities across the nation.

This decision has led to an extraordinary number of people — many whites included — “black-splaining” to Cube that as a black man, he’s not supposed to work with the president of the United States because the president is allegedly racist.

Cuomo himself participated in this very “black-splaining” during his interview with Cube. He began the interview by playing clips that allegedly make Trump look racist (though one could argue only race-baiters would perceive the clips that way) and then cornered the rapper to demand he explain himself to him.

Watch the full interview below:

Throughout the interview, Cube kept stressing the point that he’s willing to work with anybody who’s willing to work with him.

Earlier this year he released a Contract with Black America (CWBA) outlining policies related to the betterment of the black community that he would like the candidates running for the presidency to at least consider pursuing.

After unveiling the contract, he asked the president and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden to address it. Biden’s camp immediately chose to not address it, telling Cube that they’ll deal with the contract sometime after the election.

Now fast-forward to Tuesday, when Trump 2020 campaign senior adviser Katrina Pierson announced that the administration has been working with Cube.

It turns out that the Trump campaign had chosen to address Cube’s contract by inviting him to speak with them so that some of his ideas could be incorporated into the president’s own plan for black Americans, i.e., the Platinum Plan.

News of Cube simply speaking and working with the Trump administration on a plan that would help blacks spawned so much hatred toward the rapper that he’s been forced all week long to explain himself to critics, including white ones like Cuomo.

However, as Lemon’s behind-the-back bashing of him demonstrated, plenty of black Americans have also been eager to trash Cube and toss wild accusations at him.

Listen to his trash-talking below:

This sort of trash talking has also been abundant on Twitter. Look for instance at what his “haters” wrote after the rapper posted a tweet Saturday afternoon complaining about all the “energy being spent on telling me to stay in my lane”:

A startling number of Cube’s critics genuinely believe that the president is essentially the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler. This suggests they’d be better served by obtaining an education in real history instead of listening to the ahistorical, unhinged rhetoric of left-wing partisans like Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon, among many others.
