President Donald Trump broke Twitter Sunday night when he left the presidential suite Sunday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in a motorcade to “surprise” the throng of supporters who have been holding vigil outside the facility.
The president waved from a black Chevy Suburban as the thrilled crowd greeted him back, and the feel-good moment proved to be more excitement than the media could bear — it could also be the fact that Trump appears to be doing so well in such a short period of time that has the left so uptight.
Deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement the president returned to Walter Reed to continue his treatment for the coronavirus afterwards.
“President Trump took a short, last-minute motorcade ride to wave to his supporters outside and has now returned to the Presidential Suite inside Walter Reed,” he said in the release.

Understanding that the media is looking to find fault in Trump’s every action, Deere stressed that “appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect the President and all those supporting it, including PPE.”
“The movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do,” he added.

Looking rejuvenated, the president released another video Sunday before the short ride letting it be known that he was going to surprise his supporters.
“I think we’re going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street,” he said. “And they’ve been out there for a long time, and they’ve got Trump flags. And they love our country. So I’m not telling anybody, but you. But I’m about to make a little surprise visit.”

“It’s been a very interesting journey,” Trump added. “I learned a lot about COVID. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn’t the ‘let’s read the book’ school.
“I get it. I understand it, and it’s a very interesting thing, and I’m going to be letting you know about it.”
Earlier in the day, doctors said that Trump was doing “very well” and that there was a chance he could be released on Monday to return to the White House to continue his treatment.
The White House released a photo Sunday of the president taking part in a phone call with Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.
The media did get the soundbite they were seeking when James Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed, called the drive-by photo op “insanity.”
For some reason, Phillips felt compelled to take to social media to air his disapproval, without commenting on the White House stating that “the movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do.”
“Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days,” he tweeted. “They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. This is insanity.”

The greatest irony of the day is that the cabal that has spent the better part of the year demonizing and attacking law enforcement is suddenly concerned about the well being of the Secret Service agents assigned to protect the president.
Perhaps, they didn’t get the memo that “appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect the President and ALL those supporting it” — the emphasis on “all” coming from this writer.
Why is a sick President riding in an SUV waving to supporters outside Walter Reed, jeopardizing the Secret Service agents inside the car with him?

WAPO: Secret Service agents outraged by Trump’s drive outside hospital.
“Where are the adults?” said one former agent.

Trump risked the lives of the Secret Service personnel who were in the drive-by SUV with him. Lives risked for a publicity stunt. They will need to quarantine for 14 days, doctors say.

USSS agents know when they sign up that they could be killed in an effort to protect the president.
There was absolutely no reason for the president to put their health at risk by doing this. A mask is not full proof…especially in a heavily armored car with windows rolled up. https://t.co/LjYLFSTD10

This is arrogance, ignorance, narcissism, and irresponsibility with mayo on top.

Of course, it could be the fact that Trump managed to still command the news cycle from “Basement” Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, even though he’s in the hospital battling what the president has taken to calling the “Chinese plague.”
Trump 2020 senior campaign advisor Steve Cortes nailed it when he tweeted: “Pres Trump is hospitalized and he had a busier event day than Joe Biden.”

Somehow, you just know that President Trump was smiling over the prospect of how his haters were going to react to his actions.
