BLM crowd splashes around off-limits Reflecting Pool at Lincoln Memorial; rules don’t apply to them

On Friday, thousands of Black Lives Matter supporters congregated in Washington, D.C., to march for so-called racial justice as they disrespectfully waded in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Race hustler Al Sharpton had announced the march at deceased Minneapolis black suspect George Floyd’s funeral in early June.

The march, which contained about as much social distancing as a rave, occurred despite numerous localities throughout the country, including D.C., still being under strict coronavirus restrictions barring people from, as an example, attending church.

In D.C., churches are open, but both indoor AND outdoor services cannot “exceed fifty percent (50%) of the capacity of the facility or space where the service is occurring,” according to the district’s latest guidelines. But for some reason, the rule wasn’t followed as thousands of people congregated closely together Friday:

Nor was D.C.’s ban on mass gatherings containing more than 50 people followed.

Besides showing very little concern about the coronavirus pandemic, the march’s attendees also showed no respect for the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Observe:

This is reportedly a violation of the rules.

“The Reflecting Pool, more than a third of a mile long and over two feet deep in some parts, is a centerpiece of the capital’s National Mall, hosting millions of visitors a year. In the summer, parks authorities have warned people not to swim or wade in it,” The New York Times reported back in early 2018.

D.C.’s coronavirus restrictions also mandate that anyone entering D.C. from certain states, Maryland and Virginia excluded, via “non-essential travel” must quarantine for 14 days. Yet many of the marches purposefully chose to sidestep this rule.

“Several rallygoers who were still planning to attend the march despite their home states appearing on the mayor’s quarantine list said they intend to stay overnight in Maryland or Virginia and travel into the District only for the day — effectively sidestepping the order,” The Washington Post noted last Wednesday.

Apparently, people who are affiliated with a veritable extremist movement that’s been linked to two hate crimes and widespread mayhem and destruction are entitled to choose which rules to follow and which to dismiss at whim.

This endless hypocrisy hasn’t helped endear BLM to the American people. If anything, its support among some Americans has cratered:

Besides breaking all the rules, the BLM advocates who gathered in D.C. on Friday also spewed a plethora of extremely divisive, racial rhetoric.

Jamal Bryant, another race hustler and fake minister like Sharpton, compares black Trump supporters to slaves:

Meanwhile, Sharpton lied by claiming first that the left has denounced looting (Fact-check: FALSE) and second that the right hasn’t denounced ACTUAL acts of police brutality (Fact-check: FALSE).
