President Donald Trump received high praise as “the greatest president in our country’s history” by the son of a good friend who passed on from COVID complications.

A fundraiser on Sunday was held at the home of Trump’s pal, the late Stanley Chera, a billionaire real estate developer who died in April at the age of 78. Chera was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of  New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

During remarks at the event, Chera’s son Haim revealed to the enthusiastic crowd that the president called his dad repeatedly while he was ill with the coronavirus.

“You called us every single day to do everything in your power to help your friend Stanley. You were fighting a war against an invisible enemy, recklessly or maliciously released onto our shores from China, and you still made time to offer your assistance to us,” the younger Chera explained in introducing the president from the podium.

Haim Chera noted that Trump and his father shared an authentic friendship, adding that supporting the Trump presidential effort was his father’s greatest assignment.

“President Trump, your sincerity and care for my father, I will never forget….Anybody would be lucky to have a friend as real as you. Even if you weren’t the greatest president in our country’s history, which you are, I would be indebted to you forever…You bring the most refreshing honesty to our people, and your policies are brilliant and focused. You are on the right side of every American First issue there ever was….”

The fundraiser for the Art of the Deal author took place in Deal, N.J.

Haim also recalled how his father correctly predicted the Donald Trump had a 100 percent chance of winning the 2016 election in a conversation with skeptical  Manhattan fat cats during which Trump was still one of 17 GOP candidates. “My friend Donald doesn’t play a game he doesn’t win,” he confidently told his son.

Haim also recalled that Trump said of his dad that Stanley never had “even an ounce” of envy in him and was a sincere supporter.

The event at the Jersey shore reportedly raised $5 million for the Trump campaign.

After the event, Trump told reporters that “[Stanley Chera] was a great person who was a very early supporter. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it. And he was a fantastic person. One of the most charitable people you’ll ever meet. He helped a lot of people.”
