Media pretends Portland unrest is over ‘since feds left,’ Andy Ngo shows riots, fires to police buildings

After President Donald Trump’s federal troops stepped away from Portland, Oregon to give local authorities a chance to deal with the city’s left-wing extremists, the mainstream media ran pieces declaring the crisis in Portland to be over.

Look:

But as Portland journalist Andy Ngo has documented countless times in the past two weeks, the narrative touted by the media was a propagandistic lie.

The situation in the City of Roses remains as volatile as before, though the acts of violence have in fact only grown more brazen and potentially deadly, with Black Lives Matter and Antifa-affiliated rioters having tried twice this week alone to burn down the Portland Police Association building.

The extremists “lit a fire inside the Portland police union building Saturday, sparking a riot declaration by police, who then advanced on the hundreds who gathered nearby,” The Oregonian reported Sunday morning.

“The night marked the second time someone had set a fire inside the police union building, which has turned into a regular site of” extremist rioting.

See some of Ngo’s footage from the scene below:

The extremists also …

Started fires on the streets:

Raided a residential neighborhood and yelled “we’re gonna burn your building down” at horrified apartment dwellers who were peeking out from their windows:

And tussled with local authorities:

FYI, acts like these happen every night in Portland, yet they receive virtually zero mainstream media attention, save from Fox News.

In defense of The New York Times, however, the far-left paper did finally admit on Friday that “Antifa” is real.

“Antifa, which stands for anti-fascist, is a radical, leaderless leftist political movement that uses armed, violent protest as a method to create what supporters say is a more just and equitable country. They have a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest, including the current protests in Portland,” the paper wrote.

Yet only weeks earlier, the outlet had claimed that talk of Antifa was “false information.” And not once has the outlet ever ran reports about Ngo’s coverage.

Meanwhile, congressional Democrats have remained notably quiet about the left-wing violence in cities like Portland and Seattle, save for those instances where they’ve actually come out in defense of the extremism.

As for presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, he’s said nothing about the extremism but vowed to effectively defund the police.

During an interview last month with far-left activist Ady Barkan, the presumptive nominee was asked point-blank, “[D]o we agree that we can redirect some of the [police] funding?”

The former VP replied in the affirmative, saying, “Yes, absolutely.”

Listen:

Redirecting “some” or any police funding means defunding it, period.

Last week Biden tried walking back his remarks by claiming he now wants to give the police more money.

“I don’t want to defund police. I want to get police more money in order to deal with the things they badly need from making sure they have access to community policing, that they have also in the department’s social workers, psychologists, people who in fact can handle those god awful problems that a cop has to have four degrees to handle,” he reportedly said.

It’s not clear how in the heck social workers and psychologists would be able to “handle” the sort of left-wing extremists who’ve been terrorized Portland for months now …
