Leftists got triggered after President Trump retweeted a series of posts showing that hydroxychloroquine works to prevent and cure the coronavirus in a statistically-significant sample of patients.

Among them was a video of Dr. Stella Immanuel of Rehoboth Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Immanuel said she effectively treated 350 patients with hydroxychloroquine.
“Any study that says hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work is fake science!” Immanuel said at the White Coat Summit in Washington. “I want them to show me how it doesn’t work. How is it going to work for my 350 patients? They are all alive! Then somebody says it doesn’t work? Guys, all them studies: fake science.”

At the White Coat Summit, an army of physicians who effectively treated patients with hydroxychloroquine slammed the Left’s reckless demonization of the drug, which has been shown effective for off-label use to treat COVID-19.
Medical experts have said that HCQ is most effective when administered to COVID-19 patients early on after their diagnosis or as a preventative measure. When hydroxychloroquine is given to patients who are in the advanced stages, it is less effective.

In 2005, Hillary superfan Anthony Fauci said HCQ was effective at preventing and treating coronaviruses.

Hydroxychloroquine was approved by the FDA in 1955 to treat malaria. That’s 65 years ago. It is also widely used to treat the auto-immune diseases lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
The FDA has not yet approved HCQ to treat COVID-19 because the virus is new, but many physicians are successfully treating patients with the drug.
Moreover, numerous nurses and doctors on the front lines take HCQ as a preventative measure so they don’t get infected while treating patients.
For years, the World Health Organization has included hydroxychloroquine on its List of Essential Medicines.
If it’s so dangerous and unproven — as the Left claims — why would the WHO (which leftists embrace) list it as an “essential medicine?”
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons say HCQ has a 90% chance of helping COVID patients.
The Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration have been using hydroxychloroquine for 65 years. “On any given day, the VA uses 42,000 doses of this drug.”
In May, Democrat lawmaker Karen Whitsett credited hydroxychloroquine for saving her life.
Whitsett’s physician, Dr. Mohammed Arsiwala, prescribed hydroxychloroquine, and it cured her.
Dr. Arsiwala also gave HCQ to more than 16 other coronavirus patients — with successful outcomes.
Arsiwala echoed the sentiments of Dr. Marc Siegel of NYU Langone Hospital (whose 96-year-old father was cured with HCQ) when he urged Democrats to put aside bitter partisanship and come together to defeat this plague.
“Let’s not fight, [put] politics aside,” Dr. Arsiwala said. “This virus is new. It’s taking lives. It has devastated our economy. We have to come together.”
In June, a widely-cited junk study trashing hydroxychloroquine was retracted after it turned out the research was a sham.
That bogus study was breathlessly touted to attack President Trump.

Doctors say they are being bullied to trash hydroxychloroquine (which is inexpensive) in favor of Remdesivir — an overpriced, untested vaccine being produced by Big Pharma.
