An Oscar-worthy parody travel video praising the city of Portland, Oregon, is making the rounds online and accurately captures the state of events in the fantastical year of 2020.

Even more damning, it lends itself to the state of journalism in the age of Trump.

With mayhem often being the norm in the Democrat-run city, the video highlights some of the more picturesque areas in the Portland area, while interspersing scenes of violence and destruction frequently seen in the streets.

More than any city in America, Portland is home to Antifa anarchists and radical left revolutionaries intent on the fall of the United States, and as troubling as that may be, hard-left Democratic officials in the city have been hesitant to confront the thugs.

Rioting broke out Saturday in Portland, marking the 52nd straight day of protests in the city since the death of George Floyd. With a sizable homeless population residing downtown, resisting “the man” serves as a source of nightly entertainment.

The scene in the Northwestern city has gotten so bizarre that a woman hailed on the left as a “hero” confronted police completely naked.

The bush-league move was from a woman dubbed “Naked Athena,” who sat down in the street in front of a line of police and spread her legs open. The officers would soon back off, though it’d be speculative to suggest that the sight before them prompted the action.

Antifa thugs have long been shutting down streets while police, who have been largely handcuffed by local officials, passively look on.

But then, with hard-left Mayor Ted Wheeler at the helm and the city on its third police chief since December, the city is proving to be no match for the insurrection — which is why the federal agents from the U.S. Marshals Service and Department of Homeland Security were deployed to help restore law and order.

Criminal elements have tried repeatedly to set fire to a federal courthouse downtown, and when federal police intervened, Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to calling them President Trump’s “secret army,” and “unidentified stormtroopers.”

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., defended “peaceful protesters,” accusing President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf of “weaponizing the DHS as their own occupying army to provoke violence on the streets of my hometown.”

There was a time in America were fantastical remarks like that would have been over the line, but not in the year 2020.

Amid all the chaos, the media is more focused on how violent rioters are being treated by police than on the chaos and destruction taking place in the street.
