Vice President Mike Pence delivered a “frightening preview” of what America will look like under a Joe Biden presidency during a Wisconsin campaign stop.

Pence took aim at the presumptive Democratic nominee in a speech at Ripon College this week, predicting that Americans “won’t be safe” under his leadership and warning that the November election will be a choice “between freedom and opportunity, and socialism and decline.”

“The hard truth is, you won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” Pence told the limited 50-person crowd of attendees who were all spaced six feet apart and wearing masks.

“The radical left’s experiment in defunding the police is failing families and cities,” he added.

Pence also addressed rising crime rates in Milwaukee to make his point.

“Right here in Wisconsin, Milwaukee is seeing a 100% increase in murders from the same time last year. This is a frightening preview of Joe Biden’s agenda in action,” he said.

“It is good to be in Ripon, Wisconsin, the birthplace of the Republican Party,” Pence had told the crowd of supporters as he went on to speak of the coming election, pointing out that Biden has drifted toward the radical left wing of the Democratic Party and has come in line with much of the agenda pushed by former Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

“When you consider Joe Biden’s agenda and his embrace of the radical Left, it’s clear: Joe Biden would be nothing more than an autopen president,” Pence said.

“A Trojan horse for a radical agenda; so radical, so all-encompassing, that it would transform this country into something utterly unrecognizable,” he said, adding that Sanders sees Biden as someone who will “transform the country” and be “the most progressive president in nearly a century.”

“The Biden-Sanders agenda would set America on the path of socialism and decline,” Pence told the audience. “And as our nation endures this time of testing, we’d do well to tell our neighbors and friends that it’s also a time for choosing.”

While America’s “economic recovery is on the ballot,” Pence said at one point, other “more fundamental and foundational” things are as well.

“It’s not so much whether America will be more conservative or more liberal, more Republican or Democrat, more red or blue. It’s whether America remains America,” he said Pence, noting how the choice in November is essentially between “two paths, one based on the dignity of every individual, and the other on the growing control of the State.”

Pence criticized the former vice president’s stand on immigration, climate change and the economy, and warned that Biden would “weaken the thin blue line” if elected, noting how Trump would “back the Blue.”

President Trump addressed Biden’s stand on defunding the police during an interview with Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, who pushed back on the idea that the Democrat has called for defunding law enforcement departments.

Biden has come under fire recently for not coming out to publicly condemn anti-police rhetoric. And he has openly spoken against abolishing police departments, indicating that he supports the idea of redirecting funding and saying in a recent interview that recent police actions have made them “become the enemy.”

The unity agenda between Biden and Sanders calls for “policies that will reorient our public safety approach toward prevention, and away from over-policing.”

Pence called out the former vice president for thinking of America as “systemically racist.”

“And despite historically low crime rates, prior to this pandemic, Joe Biden believes that law enforcement in America has, a quote, ‘implicit bias’ against minorities,” he said.

“Just recently when asked whether he’d support defunding the police, Joe Biden capitulated to the radical left wing mob. He was asked if he’d support cutting funding to law enforcement. And he replied, and I quote, ‘Yes, absolutely.’ Joe Biden would weaken the thin blue line that separates order from chaos,” Pence continued, referring to a recent interview.

“Under President Donald Trump we will stand with those who stand on the thin blue line and we will never defund the police. We will defend the police every day,” he added. “This president and this administration will back the blue.”
