President Trump rejected calls for a national mask mandate and blasted Joe Biden for wanting to defund the police, as evidenced by Joe’s support of the anti-cop, Marxist Black Lives Matter movement.

Trump made the remarks during an interview with Fox News opinion host Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat.

Wallace asked the President if he’d consider a national mask mandate to stem the coronavirus epidemic.

“You wore a mask in public for the first time at Walter Reed,” Wallace said. “The CDC says if everybody wore a mask for 4-6 weeks, we could get this under control. Do you regret not wearing a mask in a public from the start? And will you consider a national mandate that people need to wear masks?”

Reminder: Wallace wasn’t hyperventilating that everyone needs to wear a mask during the countless Black Lives Matter protests, riots, and George Floyd memorials.

President Trump said masks are good, and if people want to wear them, they should. However, he won’t force everyone to wear them because it impinges on their personal freedoms. Trump has been consistent on this stance.

Trump also disagreed with Wallace’s assertion that COVID-19 could have been eradicated if everyone had worn a mask from the beginning.

Trump pointed out that early in the epidemic (in March), Dr. Anthony Fauci told Americans they don’t need to wear a mask.

In an interview last week with InStyle, Fauci said he stands by his early anti-mask statements.

“No, I want people to have a certain freedom, and I don’t believe in that,” Trump said. “I don’t agree with the statement that if everybody wears a mask, [coronavirus] disappears. Dr. Fauci said, ‘Don’t wear a mask.’ Our Surgeon General said don’t wear a mask. Everybody was saying, ‘don’t wear a mask.’ All of sudden everybody’s got to wear a mask. With that being said, I’m a believer in masks. I think masks are good.”

Democrats and their media lapdogs have politicized the mask and repeatedly claimed that President Trump opposes masks for everyone.

In reality, Trump has said that masks are a good idea. However, he said he saw no need for him to wear one when everyone around him wore masks and/or social-distanced when he went out in public.

If masks are so effective, then theoretically, you don’t need to wear a mask if everyone around you does.

If masks are so effective, why are Democrats demanding the mass release of criminals from jail? Why not just force felons to wear masks in jail?

A national mask mandate is meaningless if you defund the police. Who’s going to enforce the law if there are no cops? Laws are useless if there’s no enforcement.

Then, there’s this: Selective mask mandates by race.

For the record, President Trump the same thing in a July 1 interview with Fox Business.

“I don’t know if you need mandatory [masks], because you have many places in the country where people social-distance,” Trump said. “I’m all for masks. I think masks are good. I would wear [one] if I were in a group of people [and we’re not social-distancing].”

Trump also clashed with Chris Wallace over Trump’s assertion that Joe Biden wants to defund the police. Wallace insisted that Biden never said those words.

However, Biden has expressed support for the anti-cop Black Lives Matter movement.

If you support Black Lives Matter, you support defunding the police. That’s one of its primary goals, with slavery reparations, abolishing the nuclear family, and wealth redistribution.

Black Lives Matter defund police reparations

Trump campaign aide Marc Lotter slammed Democrats for pushing a one-size-fits-all mask mandate. Lotter argued that a farmer in Iowa does not need to wear a mask. Neither does a rancher in Montana.

Lotter said, as usual, Democrats are trying to expand the role of federal government and limit Americans’ freedoms.

“[The mask debate] is an opportunity for Democrats to put their one-side-fits-all liberal narrative to use,” Lotter said. “Someone on the farm in Iowa does not need to wear a mask. The federal government should not order someone in the farm in Iowa or a mountain range in Montana to wear a mask.”

Lotter said if you live in a densely-populated area like New York City, then it makes sense to wear a mask in public. But a nationwide mask mandate is pointless.
