Black Lives Matter supporter Calvin Martyr wants to promote “racial equality” by calling for a nationwide boycott of white-owned businesses as part of a one-day event called Blackout Day.

But because every action has a reaction, the boycott fueled a vocal counter-protest on Twitter, with many vowing to “spend like it’s Christmas” at white-owned businesses to spite the racist boycott.

It’s comically ironic that a supporter of the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement is invoking a capitalist principle (hurt someone in their pocketbook) to lash out at white people.

Blackout Day was conceived with a racist, anti-white rant Calvin Martyr made on YouTube on May 8 — two weeks before George Floyd’s May 25 death.

However, many race-baiting leftists are pretending that Floyd’s death was a catalyst for Blackout Day.

Basically, Blackout Day urges blacks not to shop at all on July 7 because they think this will sink the U.S. economy. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!

But if they must shop, they should only spend money at black-owned businesses.

“If you must spend a dollar, spend it with a black business only!” Calvin said on YouTube. “If we unite enough people for one day to not spend their dollars, it will make an impact in the economy. And they [white people] will take notice!”

Martyr said the Blackout Day boycott will last for one day. But he plans to organize future boycotts that will last for weeks, months and or years. Good luck with that, Calvin!

Black-owned businesses only account for 9.5% of all businesses in the United States.

While Blackout Day is supposed to empower black people, it’s clear from Martyr’s angry rant that it’s aimed at hurting white people.

In a fiery tirade, Calvin shouted: “If we could do it for one day — make them fear hurting us the way we fear them — it would shut the whole system down!”

Many Black Lives Matter supporters joined in solidarity of the boycott on Twitter. One person tweeted: “Do not make any purchases except from black-owned businesses.”

Do Black Lives Matter supporters realize that blacks are not the only minorities in the United States?

Black Americans are 13% of the U.S. population, but Hispanics are 17%, Asian-Americans are 5%, and Native Americans are 2% of the population. But do go on about your “minority” status.

By only shopping at black-owned businesses, Blackout Day activists are attempting to hurt businesses owned by whites and by other minorities.

Many Twitter users pointed out the epic stupidity of boycotting any business that’s not owned by black people.

Most American businesses are already hurting from the COVID shutdowns, and these “activists” want to hurt non-black businesses further by dividing consumers along race lines.

One man pointed out: “Are you insane? All that an economic blackout would do is harm small businesses and ruin the economy even more. We’re in an economic secession and you want to protest with an economic blackout that will only cause more harm?”

One person tweeted: “I’m deliberately going to buy hundreds of dollars worth of stuff.”

Another remarked: “I will shop at stores that are white-owned specifically. Why? Because I can.”

Several Twitter users said not only will they shop on Blackout Day, they plan to spend a fortune.

“I’ll be spending like it was Christmas.”

While black activists are howling over Black Lives Matter street graffiti and tearing down statues, black people are dying in Democrat-run cities all around the country.

But let’s focus on boycotting white-owned businesses because that will promote racial equality.

Civil rights activist Bob Woodson says black Americans will never advance if they constantly complain and focus all their energy railing against white people.

“Black America needs to abandon complaining about what happened in the past and begin to address the enemy within,” Woodson said. “That’s the challenge we face today.”
