The left has made it clear that the cultural revolution underway in America today may have started with the alleged racial implications of the Confederacy, but extends well beyond that now.

America is the target.

On the Fourth of July weekend, as Americans celebrate the 244th anniversary of their independence from Britain, the man largely responsible for that independence, the man who, along with a small number of others, risked everything, to include his life, to make it happen is now under attack.

CNN host Dana Bash noted that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slave owners, and asked Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., if statues of Washington should be removed?

The Democrat initially demurred, trying to pivot to attacking President Trump, but Dash pressed if it was a “good idea” to remove statues of George Washington, a man commonly referred to as the “Father of our Country.”

Duckworth was more clear the second time around.

“I think we should listen to everybody. I think we should listen to the argument there,” she declared, before shifting to attack Trump by politicizing the coronavirus.

At the same time, her response is an indication to just how beholden Democrats are to the hard-left rage mob. To include presumptive 2020 presidential nominee Joe Biden.

President Trump foresaw this day back in Aug. 2017, during the hype over events in Charlottesville, Va., as he questioned what monuments might be targeted next after protesters called for the removal of all statues honoring Confederate figures.

“Is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You have to ask yourself where does it stop?” Trump said.

As for CNN, on the eve of the 4th of July, the network dismissed George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, the man who penned the Declaration of Independence, as just “two slave owners.”

But then, hating America is what’s for dinner on the modern left, as Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, noted in response to a blasphemous Washington Post article titled, “It is time to reconsider the global legacy of July 4, 1776.”

A sub-headline added: “American independence helped further colonialism and white supremacy.”

Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, the man who ushered in the disrespect for the national anthem, proved that the initial claims he leveled were just a foot in the door, as he tweeted an attack on America on the 4th.

“We reject your celebration of white supremacy,” he said.

Yet, the radical left hypocrite had a whole different perspective in 2011, while a black man was in the White House and his skills as an NFL quarterback had yet to falter.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to Duckworth’s remarks from Twitter:
