Deadly weekend in city after city, as full-on assault against police begins to bear wicked fruit

The full-on assault on law enforcement in America has clearly gotten the attention of every police officer in America, and the effects may prove to be costly to society in the days ahead.

Early signs are already being seen that an unprecedented crime wave may soon be upon us — this very occurrence was seen in Baltimore, where murders skyrocketed following the 2015 Freddie Gray riots. Last year, the New York Times reported that “violent crime has spiked to levels unseen for a quarter century.”

Aggressive policing may soon be a thing of the past, and with Democrats calling for defunding and disbanding police departments, Fox News reported that amid the fall out over the death of George Floyd, major cities in the U.S. saw “bloody weekends.”

As Fox News reported, Chicago led the nation in the carnage:

Chicago recorded at least 11 killed and 67 wounded during an outbreak of violence, according to Fox 32. The deaths included a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old girl. The teenage girl was home Saturday night when she was struck in the neck from the shot fired from outside. She was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.

CBS Chicago reported that eight of those shot were children and teens, four of them died.  The 3-year old was with his stepfather at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday when he was struck in the back. Witnesses told the station that the gunfire came from a blue Honda.

Google 3-year-olds being shot in Chicago and you’ll find that it’s becoming the norm, though there will be no protests over the children dying in the streets.

The weekend after George Floyd died, as protests were cranking up, Chicago saw the deadliest weekend in 60 years, with twenty-four people killed by gun violence and 61 more wounded.

But you’ll get plenty of platitudes from the Democratic politicians, as seen when Mayor Lori Lightfoot took a break from trashing President Donald Trump to talk about how the city’s heart is breaking.

“Our city’s collective heart breaks to hear the unfathomable news of a 3-year-old boy who was shot and killed tonight on Chicago’s West Side. There are simply no words to describe such a heinous, unconscionable act of cowardice to shoot at a toddler,” the lesbian mayor tweeted.

Minneapolis saw one person die and 11 injured early Sunday, as suspects opened fire as patrons waited to enter a restaurant, according to Fox News.

Floyd died in the city, after a police officer was seen kneeling on his neck — his death set off two weeks of riots and protests across America.

Cops became frequent targets of violence as the liberal media successfully established that racially-motivated police brutality is rampant in America — recent statistics fail to bear this out.

Again, a radical left Democratic politician, this time Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., the Somali refugee who called police officers a “cancer” that needs to be eradicated, talks about broken hearts.

“It breaks my heart to see another senseless act of violence in Minneapolis,” tweeted Omar. “Our city has been through so much, and we must promote peace by putting an end to gun violence.”

In Charlotte, North Carolina, two people were killed and seven others were wounded in a shooting over the weekend, according to the Associated Press.

Hundreds of people were partying in the streets in a continuation of the Juneteenth celebration, with the “impromptu block party” being interrupted by gunfire.

And then there’s New York City, under Mayor Bill de Blasio, with the New York Post reporting there was one shooting in the city per hour on Saturday.

In all, 24 people were shot citywide on Saturday.

An example of Democratic leadership was seen when an NYPD chief, Michael LiPetri, Chief of Crime Control Strategies Michael LiPetri, told the paper hundreds of gun-possession defendants have been allowed to go free because of the coronavirus-closed courts.

“We have over 1,000 people that have been indicted on a gun possession charge, where the cases are open and they are walking around the streets of New York today,”  LiPetri said.

And make no mistake, Democratic leadership is the constant.

Former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik took to Twitter in response to the Fox News article to tweet: “Be it intentional or incompetence, this is the result of @DNC leadership: Deadly weekend in Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis as New York City reports surge in shootings/murder.”
