Because of a feud with a bigoted black House Democrat who thinks Republican parents of white children somehow boast fewer worries than Democrat parents of nonwhite children, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz felt compelled on Thursday to reveal to the world that they happen to have a non-white child of their own …
Look:
For all those wondering, this is my son Nestor. We share no blood but he is my life. He came from Cuba (legally, of course) six years ago and lives with me in Florida.
I am so proud of him and raising him has been the best, most rewarding thing I’ve done in my life. pic.twitter.com/JB96wzOzYU

Nestor turned 19 a few days ago & will be off to University. He arrived here at 12.
As you can imagine, I was triggered when (to make an absurd debate point) a fellow congressman diminished the contributions of Republicans because we don’t raise non-white kids.
Well, I have.

Nestor came into our lives when he was 12 and had just lost his mother. He didn’t speak English, but luckily, Matt speaks Spanish.
Matt has been an incredible father to Nestor, who just graduated from high school and will be attending college in the fall. So proud of them both. https://t.co/n71SvN0Ep0

Also, this may be tough for @mattgaetz and I to admit, but Nestor is definitely the best athlete in the family! pic.twitter.com/R5YvkS2nC0

That Gaetz felt forced to out his adopted Cuban son Nestor is sad and strange though in some ways typical in this day and age when Democrat bigotry runs amok.
Sadder still is how the reveal provoked liberal Americans into just doubling down on their known bigotry by suggesting Nestor is Gaetz’s homosexual lover.
Look (*Language warning):
Matt Gaetz has a 19 year old “adopted son” named Nestor.
How long before Lindsey Graham introduces us to his “adopted son?”

Translation: “This is the love of my life, Nestor. I’m too ashamed to come out as gay because I’m known as a conservative Republican and those people are mean”.

About this @mattgaetz “my son Nestor” thing. Isn’t this called “grooming”?

Why are you advertising your buttboy? Didn’t @LindseyGrahamSC teach you anything about keeping a secret?

You, a single man adopted a 12 year old boy from Cuba ? Sounds very homo-erotic…the illegal kind.
How many times have you had Lindsey Graham over for dinner since your boy toy moved in with you ?

It’s eerie how liberal Americas love to preach about tolerance in one breath but then turn around and use homosexuality as an insult and smear.
The feud between Gaetz and black House Democrat Rep. Cedric Richmond spawned into existence during a House Judiciary Committee hearing earlier Thursday.
During the hearing on a police reform bill proposed by Democrats, Richmond grew angry over his Republican colleagues’ lack of support for the bill. According to reports, they’re more interested in the Senate bill drafted by black Sen. Tim Scott. FYI, that bill has been derided by Richmond’s white Democrat colleagues as a “token” bill.
Regardless, to convey his anger Thursday, Richmond chose to lob ludicrous, racially motivated accusations against his Republican colleagues.
Watch:
House Judiciary is still working on Democrats’ police reform bill. @RepRichmond on stream of Republican amendments: “You all are white males, you have never lived in my shoes, and you do not know what it’s like to be an African American male.” #NexstarDC pic.twitter.com/zdeUQhVVmT

“You all are white males, you have never lived in my shoes, and you do not know what it’s like to be an African American male,” he said while arguing that the parents of non-white children somehow face more concerns than the parents of white children.
This prompted Gaetz into asking, “I appreciate your passion … are you suggesting none of us have non-white children?”
Richmond replied that he understood that some Republicans “have black grandchildren” but that the bill’s about helping “black males, black people in the streets that are getting killed, and if one of them happens to be your kid, I am concerned about them, too. And clearly I am more concerned about him than you are.”
This rightly annoyed Gaetz.
“You are claiming you have more concern for your family than I do? Who in the hell do you think you are? That is outrageous,” he said.
Watch:
.@RepMattGaetz pushed back, ending with this exchange:
Richmond: It’s about black people… getting killed… if one of them happens to be your kid… I’m more concerned about him than you!
Gaetz: Who the hell do you think you are?!#NexstarDC pic.twitter.com/DcWZO6WOtv

Efforts to reform police behavior are in fact about helping black criminal suspects who commit the vast majority of crime in the United States and thus naturally face the highest chances of being brutalized by the police.
However, this doesn’t justify the claim that the parents of white children somehow have it easier than the parents of non-white children. Committing crime is a choice, and nobody is born a criminal.
Thus, it doesn’t make sense or abide with the facts to claim that race is to blame for the parents of non-white children worrying about police brutality. No, bad choices are to blame, period.
But instead of making this point, Gaetz chose to out his own non-white son. It was admittedly a strange decision, though it didn’t warrant him being trashed with homophobic insults, and this is a point that even disgraced former Rep. Katie Hill managed to hear loud and clear.
Look:
Many of you know @mattgaetz & I have an unlikely friendship. I can’t stand a lot of his beliefs but he’s been there for me when others haven’t. He talks about Nestor more than anything, has done so much for his son & is truly a proud dad. This #freenestor thing is bullshit. Stop. https://t.co/qqOx9opXzH

Gaetz and his adopted son appeared later Thursday evening on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
