Aunt Jemima did not survive the Great Black Lives Matter Riots of 2020.
The Black Lives Matter movement, and all the violence associated with it, is now a runaway train, thanks in large part to the media establishing the false narrative that racially-driven police brutality is rampant in America — statistics fail to support the claim — the rage mob is out for blood.
Anyone who catches their attention for the slightest of offenses, even wearing a t-shirt with the wrong network logo on it, is beaten into submission.
Looking to avoid such a fate, Quaker Oats has announced that, in a quest “to make progress toward racial equality,” the company is removing the name and image of Aunt Jemima from the 130-year-old syrup and pancake mix brand, according to NBC News.

“We recognize Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on a racial stereotype,” Kristin Kroepfl, vice president and chief marketing officer of Quaker Foods North America, said in a press release. “As we work to make progress toward racial equality through several initiatives, we also must take a hard look at our portfolio of brands and ensure they reflect our values and meet our consumers’ expectations.”
Quaker, a subsidiary of PepsiCo (which explains a lot), modernized the image of the Aunt Jemima character in recent years, removing the “mammy” kerchief she wore on her head.
But now they’re simply doing away with the character altogether because perpetually aggrieved liberals see it as perpetuating a racist stereotype dating back to the days of slavery.
Of course, we should have seen this coming last week when HBO Max pulled the Oscar-winning Civil War epic film “Gone With the Wind” from its library over the depiction of black people.
(The video streaming service said the movie will be returned with added “historical context” — see progressive indoctrination.)
Actress Hattie McDaniel made history by becoming the first black American to win an Oscar for her role as “Mammy” in the film.
With a media-supported cultural cleansing revolution now underway, some of your favorite brands may look very different in the coming days if the hypersensitive rage mob picks up on the slightest indication of perceived offense.
For example, it would appear that Uncle Ben’s long term chances of survival are slim.

Quaker also announced it will donate at least $5 million over the next five years “to create meaningful, ongoing support and engagement in the Black community,” NBC reported.
Interestingly, two men who claimed to be descendants of Anna Harrington, the black woman who began portraying Jemima in the 1930s, sued the company claiming that she wasn’t properly compensated — a judge threw out the lawsuit. Harrington passed away in 1955.
Ironically, the satire site “The Onion” nailed it somewhat a week ago in a spoof about Aunt Jemima being replaced by a black female lawyer — the latter half of the take is yet to be determined.

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter, because when faced with a world gone mad, sometimes all you can do is laugh:

In other words @Quaker has been selling racist pancake mix for generations up until just now? Maybe all those hundreds of millions of dollars in profits should be paid in reparations to obese black transgender women to try to make amends.

They tossed her out like the mammy from Gone with the Wind…we’re getting rid of all the historically strong black women.
