Starbucks is learning the hard way that bending the knee to the left-wing outrage mob only emboldens them to demand further capitulation and total surrender.
The left-wing corporation openly supports the Black Lives Matter movement but is the target of a left-wing boycott because it won’t allow its employees to wear BLM clothing or accessories during their work shifts.
Why? Because Starbucks has a longstanding dress-code policy that requires all employees to wear uniforms during their shifts. It’s like how McDonald’s employees wear uniforms at work.
The decision was made by Zing Shaw, the Global Chief Diversity Officer at Starbucks. No media outlet pointed this out, but Shaw is black.
Like most left-wing boycotts, #BoycottStarbucks is mostly a social-media phenomenon, but it’s being amplified by the mainstream media.
The brouhaha erupted after the Seattle-based coffee giant sent an internal memo to employees explaining that workers “are not permitted to wear buttons or pins that advocate a political, religious or personal issue.”
Specifically, Zing Shaw said she was worried that “there are agitators who misconstrue the fundamental principles of the Black Lives Matter movement — and in certain circumstances, intentionally repurpose them to amplify divisiveness.”
In other words, Shaw decided to ban BLM clothing in the interest of workplace safety.
Starbucks recently posted a pandering tweet declaring its support for Black Lives Matter.
The corporation also pledged to donate $1 million to organizations “promoting racial equity.” But that wasn’t enough capitulation for the outrage mob.
Black lives matter. We are committed to being a part of change.

Critics pointed out that Starbucks has allowed employees to wear LGBT pins in the past.
However, this is probably because — unlike Black Lives Matter “protesters” — LGBT advocates have not rioted, looted or beaten up cops or random people in the name of “social justice.” Maybe that’s why Starbucks drew the line at BLM attire or accessories.
We’re pretty sure that Starbucks would not allow an employee to wear a MAGA cap on their shift. In fact, simply wearing MAGA attire in a Starbucks makes you a target.
Case in point: In 2017, Starbucks was forced to apologize after a group of employees bullied a customer for wearing a Trump t-shirt.
On Twitter, angry leftists hyped the #BoycottStarbucks hashtag. Like most boycotts, it’s questionable if those who claim they’re boycotting something were ever its customers to begin with.
A man suggested that he’ll take his business to Dunkin Donuts.

Another cooed: “American runs on Dunkin’ anyway.”
If YOU own shares of Starbucks, you better sell that shit…
Your coffee beans are from Central America yet you can’t support Black Lives Matter🤔🤔🤔
Disgusting.
America runs on Dunkin’ anyways, we always knew ☕️ 🏃♀️🏃 @dunkindonuts #BuyDunkin #BoycottStarbucks pic.twitter.com/iHOHF62uRE

That’s comical, since Dunkin Donuts sold “Trump Wall” doughnuts in 2016 to celebrate Donald Trump winning the presidential election.
Conservatives mocked Starbucks after it was attacked by the same leftist mob that it pandered so hard to.
“This is GLORIOUS. #BoycottStarbucks is trending…after they publicly endorsed the movement! hahahaha”
This, after they publicly endorsed the movement! hahahahahahaha

Another tweeted: “It’s comical at this point.”
Notice Starbucks policy is actually good. It bans ANY political clothing or pins. From either side. But that’s not good enough for the rage mob. Their views must always be allowed while censoring or eliminating dissent. It’s comical at this point.

Moral of story: Never bend the knee to the outrage mob. Conciliation is never enough. They want total surrender.

**UPDATE: Starbucks folded like a deck of cards. It will allow employees to wear BLM t-shirts and pins.
Black professor: Black Lives Matter is being exploited to advance Marxist agenda
