Republican Senator Ron Johnson wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney General William Barr asking him to fully declassify a bizarre email that Susan Rice (Obama’s national security advisor) sent herself on President Trump’s inauguration day regarding her successor, former Trump NSA Michael Flynn.

At 12:15 p.m. on January 20, 2017, Rice sent herself a contrived CYA (cover your *ss) email where she retroactively recounted a January 5 meeting she allegedly had with Barack Obama, during which she claims he told her to make sure the Russia investigation was done “by the book.”

As everyone knows by now, the investigation into the Democrats’ Russia-collusion hoax was absolutely not “done by the book.”

In his letter to Attorney General Barr, Senator Ron Johnson wrote:

“I understand your office is currently reviewing a January 20, 2017, email from former national security advisor Susan Rice. In that email, Ambassador Rice summarized an Oval Office meeting with President Obama and other administration officials that occurred on January 5, 2017.

A majority of Ambassador Rice’s email was declassified but a portion of the email remains classified.

“The significance of that meeting is becoming increasingly apparent as more and more information is declassified. For these reasons, it is essential that Congress and the American people understand what occurred during that January 5, 2017, meeting and how it was later characterized by administration officials. The declassification of Ambassador Rice’s email, in whole, will assist these efforts.”

Senator Johnson is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, an oversight body. He and other Republicans have long demanded answers to the suspicious, corrupt origins of the Russia hoax.

The cascading stream of corruption by the Obama FBI, Department of Justice, and other top Obama officials comprise a wide-ranging cluster of crimes perpetrated to destroy the Trump presidency preceding Donald Trump’s first day in office. This scandal is known as Obamagate.

What Senator Ron Johnson wants to know is what Susan Rice was doing when she sent her unusual CYA email on January 20, 2017 — just moments after President Trump was inaugurated.

Rice’s bizarre email to herself states: “President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.’ The president stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”

What was in the redacted portion of Susan Rice’s CYA email to herself?

UPDATE: Richard Grenell  — the acting Director of National Intelligence — declassified the email on May 19. CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge shared it on Twitter.

Rice’s CYA email shows her conspiring with Obama FBI director James Comey to undermine and withhold information from incoming Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. This is information that Flynn would’ve needed to do his job properly.

Observers say Rice’s “note to self” email was laughable because the entire Trump-Russia investigation by the Obama FBI and DOJ was not done “by the book” in any way.

Many speculate that Rice’s email to herself was a “CYA” memo to retroactively exculpate herself and Obama in case the Russia hoax imploded, which it did.

According to Rice’s email, Obama met with his FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates on January 5, 2017. Rice says she and then-Vice President Joe Biden were also at the meeting, which took place in the Oval Office.

The Rice email directly contradicted Comey’s sworn testimony. Comey testified to the Senate that he never met with Obama in January 2017. The White House logs also did not corroborate Rice’s version of events.

Moreover, the email that Susan Rice wrote to herself was “unusual” because why would Obama need to remind her, then-FBI director James Comey, and then-DOJ deputy attorney Sally Yates to do their jobs “by the book?”

After all, it should be understood that ANY federal investigation should be done properly, without partisan bias or shady corner-cutting, as was the case with the bogus Trump-Russia probe.

Also, didn’t Democrats vehemently insist all this time that Obama had nothing to do with investigating the Trump campaign?

In 2017, Judge Andrew Napolitano said Susan Rice may have committed espionage when she unmasked President Trump’s transition team members.

Judge Napolitano said Rice was entitled to ask for the names of Trump’s team as part of her job, but revealing their identities in order to undermine President Trump is “espionage.”

Under U.S. federal law, espionage is a felony punishable by death (that’s how seriously the United States views random spying on private citizens).

Basically, if Rice had abused her position as national security adviser to unmask Trump aides as part of an effort to sabotage the Trump administration, she committed a crime.
