Sean Hannity leveled a brutal attack on MSNBC’s Brian Williams for “playing defense for the Deep State.”

The Fox News host called out “lyin’ Brian” during “Hannity” on Thursday, recalling his embarrassing journalistic history and slamming him for his criticism of Fox News for what he saw as excessive coverage of the story on former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Hannity focused on Williams in a segment of his show addressing “more lies, more propaganda, misinformation” being aired by the liberal media in “their partisan, Democratic, state socialist TV coverage.”

He shared a video clip of Williams speaking with former CIA Director John Brennan on his show Wednesday as he called out Fox News for “turning over the equivalent of hours of its programming to what they’re calling this ‘unmasking,'” and asked the MSNBC contributor to weigh in on “this PR effort.”

Brennan obliged and slammed the White House’s “politicization of the intelligence community,” as they discussed the revelations that several Obama administration officials sought to unmask the identity of members of the Trump campaign such as Lt. Gen. Flynn.

Hannity unloaded after the clip, announcing that “once and for all,” he would explain to viewers why Williams is a “late-night cable host.”

“Speaking of lies, there’s a reason you don’t have any credibility, we don’t need lectures from you and you don’t have much of an audience,” Hannity began.”

“Why? Because you made a lot of stuff up and lied about your experiences covering the Iraq War. You also lied about what you saw covering Hurricane Katrina when you said you saw dead bodies floating in front of your hotel — the hotel that didn’t have any water in front of it,”  Hannity added.

“You’re nothing but another fake news fraud who continues to spew nonstop hate and hysteria, attacking Trump, attacking Republicans, spreading conspiracy theories, smears. You’re not seeking truth and justice. We don’t need lectures from you, Brian,” he continued.

“By the way, your network should apologize for all the lies they told on Russia, all the conspiracy theories that they spread. You are now part of that coverage,” Hannity said.

“And there’s a reason, lyin’ Brian, NBC Nightly News is called NBC Nightly News hosted by Lester Holt, and not you,” he concluded.

Williams was lambasted last month by President Trump who said in a tweet that the MSNBC host “wouldn’t know the truth if it was nailed to his wooden forehead.”

“Remember when he lied about his bravery in a helicopter? Totally made up story. He’s a true dummy who was thrown off Network News like a dog,” he wrote, sharing a video of Williams’s suspension from NBC in February 2015.

He also compared Williams to CNN’s Don Lemon in another tweet.

“I must admit that Lyin’ Brian Williams is, while dumber than hell, quite a bit smarter than Fake News @CNN ‘anchorman’ Don Lemon, the ‘dumbest man on television,'” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Twitter users slammed Williams for his remarks when speaking with Brennan earlier this week.
