Pelosi snaps at reporter when asked about double standard on Biden allegations: ‘I don’t need a lecture’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi grew testy during her weekly press briefing Thursday when a reporter dared to question her about the glaring inconsistency between how Democrats treated Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh two years ago and how they’re now treating presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“As far as Biden is of concern, how do Democrats square with the idea that they are essentially — they’re standing by Biden but they’re using a comparatively different standard than with Kavanaugh, when they demanded an investigation on Justice Kavanaugh when a very similar allegation came out toward him?” the reporter asked.

In response, a frazzled Pelosi told the reporter to stop lecturing her.

“Well, let me just say I respect your question, and I do not need a lecture or speech,” she said.

The brazen hypocrisy of Democrats suggests otherwise.

“Here’s the thing: I have complete respect for the whole #MeToo Movement,” she continued. “I have four daughters, one son, and there is a lot of excitement around the idea that women will be heard and be listened to.”

Then why have she and her peers in the Democrat Party decided to automatically presume that Biden is innocent and that his accuser, Tara Reade, is therefore a liar?

“There is also due process,” Pelosi added. “And the fact that Joe Biden is Joe Biden – there have been statements from his campaign, or not his campaign but his former employees who ran his offices and the rest, that there was never any record of this. There was never any record and that nobody ever came forward, or that nobody ever came forward to say something about it apart from the principle involved.”

The bolded part of her remarks above drew plenty of social media attention.

To be clear, Joe Biden’s a man who’s been credibly accused of sniffing women’s hair and touching them in other highly inappropriate manners.

As for Pelosi’s claim about Biden’s campaigners backing him, the exact same thing was true of Kavanaugh — there was no prior record, and those who knew him vociferously defended him — yet she and her peers had no qualms about throwing him under the bus under the pretense that he might be guilty.

Except there is one difference. Whereas Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, has zero corroborating evidence to back her claims, Reade’s allegations against Biden have been corroborated by a litany of different parties, including her former neighbor.

“I remember [Reade] saying, here was this person that she was working for and she idolized him,” the former neighbor, Lynda LaCasse, said to Business Insider this week.

“And he kind of put her up against a wall. And he put his hand up her skirt and he put his fingers inside her. She felt like she was assaulted, and she really didn’t feel there was anything she could do.”

But the most powerful witness may be Reade’s own deceased mother, who video evidence proves called into CNN’s “Larry King Live” in 1993 to speak about “problems” her daughter had endured while “working for a prominent senator.”

“I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington?” she’d said to King. “My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.”

Not once during Thursday’s presser was Pelosi asked about this footage.

She continued her response Thursday by doubling down on her endorsement of Biden.

“I am so proud – the happiest day for me this week was to support Joe Biden for President of the United States,” she said. “He is a person of great integrity, of great concern for the American people. He authored the Violence Against Women Act when he was the Chair of the Judiciary Committee in the ’90s.”

“He has been an advocate for funding it, all along, since then. And I believe that he will be a great President of the United States. He is the personification of hope and optimism and authenticity for our country, a person of great values.”

Great values indeed:
