Limousine liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi is keeping America’s economy in the deep freeze while showing off her luxury refrigerator on national TV, but Devin Nunes isn’t having it.
Pelosi, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and a multi-millionaire, has refused so far to advance legislation that would replenish government assistance for small business to keep them out of bankruptcy and keep their workers on the job.
In the meantime, Pelosi bragged about her collection of gourmet ice cream that is stored in a $24,000 refrigerator in her San Francisco mansion during an appearance the CBS Late Late Show hosted by the docile, obsequious James Corden.
Devin Nunes represents California’s 22nd congressional district in the San Joaquin Valley and the former chair of the House Intelligence Committee when Republicans held the majority.
In an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend, Nunes called out yet another example of the media’s double-standard when it comes to partisanship.
Pelosi’s obliviousness to the approximately 20-million unemployed Americans while she enjoys her high-end frozen dessert “doesn’t fly out in the real world,” Nunes insisted.
“If any Republican leader, if [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell or [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy or any of our Speakers in the past, would have done something like Pelosi did, where she’s sitting at home in front of her refrigerator with a $24,000 freezer that I don’t think too many of us have…it would be a fatal flaw,” Nunes said.
.@DevinNunes says if a Republican pulled a stunt like @SpeakerPelosi did they would be thrown out of there leadership position in minutes. Stuff like this doesn’t float in the real world. People in Michigan can’t even move their damn yards so what the hell is really going on. pic.twitter.com/k6rLVGvmHU

Added Nunes: “When you have a leader that makes such a fatal flaw — what would be a fatal flaw for a Republican– for a Democrat the media is covering up…if you have Mitch McConnell with a bunch of gourmet ice cream, he’d be thrown out of leadership immediately.”
Senate Republicans under McConnell already have crafted legislation to add $250 billion to the Paycheck Protection Program, an initiative that Democrats are currently holding hostage.
Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have also criticized Pelosi for her out-of-touch obstructionism.
Excellent idea! I’ll throw in all the Chunky Soup she can eat! https://t.co/WE4cY3Rd3x

As a thought experiment, imagine the reaction in the media if President Trump went on late-night TV in the midst of a pandemic to banter with a host about his love for McDonald’s hamburgers or KFC.
Nunes nonetheless expressed optimism that bipartisan legislation could pass this week that provides additional financial relief to small business owners and employees.
Devin Nunes was one of the most vocal critics of the Russia collusion hoax, blowing the whistle on the politicized, sham investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which continues to offend the anti-Trump blue-check Twitter brigade.
Unemployment has skyrocketed during the coronavirus pandemic with shelter-in-place orders in effect across the country, prompting the furlough or layoffs of millions of workers employed by “non-essential” businesses.
Some states are moving towards a phased reopening as early as this week, however, in accordance with White House guidelines, as the so-called curve appears to be flattening.
