Fox News becomes enemy no. 1 as media makes collective seismic narrative shift on China

Despite describing themselves as “objective, non-biased” journalists, the evidence has consistently shown that the majority of the so-called “journalists” in the mainstream establishment media are Democrat Party propagandists whose “reporting” always aligns with the talking points of the Democrat Party.

And so even as the Democrat Party has in recent days escalated its attacks on conservative-leaning media outlets — particularly Fox News — so have the “journalists” in the demonstrably left-wing mainstream establishment media.

Case in point: The Democrat Party propagandist outfit known as Media Matters has this month repeatedly bemoaned conservative media’s correct usage of the term “Chinese Wuhan coronavirus,” both via so-called “reports” on its website and through emails to its subscribers.

Not shockingly, members of the media have in turn echoed the propagandist outfit’s rhetoric to a T:

Meanwhile, so-called “journalist” Ben Smith of The New York Times published an allegedly objective report Sunday accusing Fox News of “recapturing partisan momentum by picking a fight about race and political correctness, emphasizing the Chinese origins of the virus, with no apparent concern for inciting bias against Asians.”

It was as if Media Matters had written the report itself.

Only three days prior to the publication of Smith’s report, Media Matters published its own report accusing Fox News of “settling into familiar territory: racism, xenophobia, and nationalism.”

“[W]hat conservative media figures want most of all is to distract from the colossal failings of the Trump administration and to make the national conversation about accusations of racism and a supposed backlash to political correctness.”

The report concluded with the Democrats at Media Matters issuing orders to the mainstream press: “So mainstream media should be aggressive calling this strategy out for what it is: Rank bigotry which disregards anti-Asian violence and seeks to support anti-immigrant policies.”

Three days later, Smith complied with these orders like a good Democrat Party propagandist. So have countless other allegedly objective “journalists.”

Smith’s report also slammed Fox Corporation’s chief executive, Lachlan Murdoch, of sitting idly by as the hosts of Fox News allegedly downplayed the threat of the coronavirus.

But not included in either Media Matters’ propaganda or the mainstream media’s “reports” have been a single mention of the fact that these same “journalists” were also referring to the “Chinese Wuhan coronavirus” — up until they received orders to stop either from Media Matters, the Communist Party of China or arguably both:

“On January 22, 2020, every American media outlet was still using ‘Wuhan virus,’ ‘Wuhan coronavirus,’ ‘virus spreading through China,’ etc.,” conservative commentator Erick Erickson rightly noted in a blog post on Thursday.

“Whether you watched CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, or PBS or read the New York Times or Washington Post or USA Today or the Wall Street Journal — everyone used that phrase.”

The narrative didn’t change, he added, until “China started a propaganda campaign to blame the United States for spreading the virus.”

And since “Media Matters, of course, would prefer the communist dictatorship of China to the United States,” the left-wing mainstream media effectively joined the campaign.

Similarly, members of the mainstream establishment media were the ones who originally downplayed the coronavirus threat and compared the deadly virus to the flu.

Look:

But the moment an opportunity arose to use the global coronavirus pandemic to attack Fox News and President Donald Trump, the media promptly changed course.

To this day the media continue to prop up communist propaganda, whether it be by blindly accepting China’s dubious claim that the coronavirus is contained or publishing so-called “reports” that reek of clear-cut propaganda.

Examples:

Concluding his blog post, Erickson pointed out the “most galling aspect of all of this.”

It’s “the hypocrisy,” he wrote, adding that “CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, etc. have glaring problems that should require self-reflection.”

But instead of practicing even a modicum of introspection, the veritable propagandists in the mainstream establishment media just keep attacking those in conservative-leaning media — particularly Fox News — who are willing to stand up to actual propaganda.
