Firebrand Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz triggered the communist China-loving left Tuesday by proposing a bill that would prevent any coronavirus relief funds from winding up in the hands of businesses owned by the East Asian nation.
Dubbed the “No CHINA (Chinese Handouts In National Assistance) Act,” the bill’s geared to punish the communist regime for its indisputable culpability in the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.
I’m proud to introduce the “No CHINA Act” today, which prevents appropriated money, including coronavirus relief funds, from being disbursed to businesses owned by the Chinese government.https://t.co/0AVxlwS8b3

“Every single American worker displaced by COVID19 should be fully compensated, before one nickel from our treasury goes to Chinese-owned corporations operating here in the United States. Full stop,” the congressman said in a statement.
“The global coronavirus pandemic has been exacerbated by the Chinese government’s malicious misinformation and propaganda campaign against the United States and its citizens. Allowing American taxpayers’ money to go to companies owned by the Communist Chinese government is antithetical to our ‘America First’ agenda.”
Correct.
“Early on, the Communists destroyed samples and suppressed vital information that could have helped mitigate the damage of this new strain of coronavirus,” National Review’s David Harsanyi noted in a recent report.
“The government also silenced doctors who warned about the disease. Some were censured for ‘spreading rumors’ or sharing test results with colleagues, and some were forced to write a self-critical public letter — a Marxist mainstay — admitting that the warning ‘had a negative impact.’ The Chinese Communists probably let five million people leave Wuhan without screening.”
As the popular Twitter hashtag bluntly states, #ChinaLiedPeopleDied.
Look:
This story is from January 2.
These bastards knew.
They knew.
And they hid it from the world.
China lied.
People died. #ChinaLiedPeopleDied pic.twitter.com/jo4rqmFHw9— Benny (@bennyjohnson) March 19, 2020
If China spent less time covering up their flaws to save face and more time trying to develop medical technologies rather than simply stealing everyone else’s innovations we would all be way better off today. #ChinaLiedPeopleDied

China
– Identified coronavirus in November
– Lied about virus containment
– Refused CDC help
– Destroyed testing results
– Jailed and ultimately killed whistleblower Dr. Li Wenliang#ChinaLiedPeopleDied— Steven Crowder (@scrowder) March 18, 2020
Communist China’s propaganda machine suppressed information about the coronavirus to protect their tyrant rulers.
They are directly responsible for thousands of lives lost.
This is China’s fault.#ChinaLiedPeopleDied

China knew about the coronavirus and hid it from the world.
China tried to blame the coronavirus on the U.S. military.
China owes the world an explanation.#ChinaLiedPeopleDied— Doug Collins (@CollinsforGA) March 18, 2020
“I’m proud to introduce the ‘No CHINA Act’ today, which prevents appropriated money, including coronavirus relief funds, from being disbursed to businesses owned by the Chinese government. Chinese corporations operating in America must not be eligible for the upcoming trillion-dollar bailout, now or ever,” Gaetz’s statement concluded.
Speaking on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” late Tuesday, the congressman offered more clarification on why he feels this legislation is necessary.
“Radisson Hotels, AMC movie theaters, even the Waldorf-Astoria in New York are controlled by China, in essence, and I think we ought to restore every American worker and American small business before borrowing money from China so that we can then give it to China to then pay China back with interest after the Chinese virus,” he said.
“That seems like a foolish thing that a great nation would never do. I’ve introduced legislation to block bailouts to corporations that are controlled by China. It’s so obvious that I can’t believe it’s not the law already.”

But why would such a policy spur any controversy, host Tucker Carlson then asked in confusion, referencing the growing outrage from the left.

Appalling.
Viruses can emerge anywhere.
This virus originated in China, which took extraordinary measures to prevent its spread.
A refusal to deal with the outbreak, worthy of punitive measures, has been shown by both the USA and the UK Governments.https://t.co/LJrOF0L9q4 pic.twitter.com/d9pVMKYpyI

“China has a lot of influence on the companies that seek Chinese investment also have that influence but this is a time that we can actually put America first. The needs of our people in our businesses,” the congressman replied.
“This should be the easiest time in the world to make sure we are making reinvestments in the American economy and that we are not the world’s fools by borrowing money from a country in the bond market, recycling it back to them and then charging the next generation of Americans interest on that money. We cannot do that, Congress should include my ‘No CHINA Act’ in the ultimate relief package.”
The left has for its part been fervent in its unjustified, irrational defense of China.
Look:
China didn’t do this to America.
China didn’t make Trump refuse test kits from WHO.
China didn’t make Trump ignore our health experts.
China didn’t make Trump cover this all up to salvage his reelection chances.
This hashtag is garbage.#ChinaLiedPeopleDied

Sir, stop trying to escape responsibility for lying and covering up the severity of the virus. You’re the villain. Blaming China doesn’t slow the spread or get PPE to hospitals. As @MiamiHerald said: You do “not fundamentally care whether we live or die.”https://t.co/5PAjFh26G1

We knew about this LAST YEAR. Stop blaming China for the GOP’s incompetence in handling this crisis… China is certainly to blame for many things, but our government’s unpreparedness, late reaction, and lies to the public are not any of them.
