The actions of the liberal media in taking on an adversarial role in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic may be shameful, given that this is a time to come together for the American people, particularly for those genuinely hurting as a result of the far-reaching restrictions put in place to limit the Chinese virus, but it’s not surprising.
However, for the Biden campaign to politicize the outbreak is remarkable.
A new ad by the campaign features Ron Klain, who was the former vice president’s chief of staff and the Obama administration’s Ebola Response Coordinator. Wasting no time, Klain attacks Trump for his handling of the crisis, in an effort to insulate Joe Biden from criticizing the commander in chief during a crisis that may prove to have the greatest economic impact on the U.S. since the Great Depression, nearly a century ago.
“Some countries acted quickly,” Obama’s Ebola czar says in the ad, in reference to the coronavirus outbreak. “What did President Trump do? He downplayed it. Trump’s slow response to this crisis is no surprise.”
Everyone knows that we’re facing a real crisis from the coronavirus. But do you know how we got here and what we need to do next? Ron Klain, former White House Ebola Response Coordinator, breaks it down for us: pic.twitter.com/XRkIw2EzM4

Klain noted that the coronavirus “started spreading in January,” and cherry-picks quotes from the president, offered with no context. Never mind that while Democrats and their media allies were consumed with a partisan attempt to impeach Trump, he issued a ban on travel from China — on January 31, 2020.
The president was called a racist and a xenophobe by many for taking an action that may ultimately prove to save thousands of American lives, if not more.
Biden himself spoke of the restrictions as “xenophobic,” calling it “fear-mongering” and “hysteria.”
Joe Biden opposed the China travel restrictions wisely put in place by President Trump in January – restrictions that health experts credit with slowing the spread of coronavirus & saving lives.

Following a familiar script, Klain points out that Trump eliminated the White House pandemic prevention office put in place by Obama. He also accused the president of administering fewer COVID-19 tests to keep the number of confirmed cases down — a “Don’t Test, Don’t Tell” policy, Klain claims.
Even as a break-neck effort has been underway to get millions of tests out.
The outrageous distortion of the truth runs for over four minutes and proves to be little more than armchair quarterbacking. The ad puts so much of a political spin of the facts that viewers will walk away dizzy.
Although, the reactions to the ad show that you can’t fool everyone — here’s a small sampling of responses from Twitter:

We know why you’re hiding behind Twitter and letting other people speak for you. Lose the teleprompter and let people from all walks of life ask you questions.

Very surprising that Joe himself didn’t want to be the face of this challenge to the President’s leadership.

Klain is a Democratic operative and election lawyer. He was Obama’s Ebola czar with no expertise or experience in Ebola or public health from October 17, 2014 to February 15, 2015. Four months. So he’s qualified for leftists…https://t.co/wF1UHCOWCQ

these are good policy suggestions but i don’t understand the point of making a video of what you would do when the trump administration is already in the process of doing everything you named
