RNC Chairman destroys democrats in blistering 8-tweet timeline of their coronavirus inaction

Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, torched Democrats for putting politics over the safety of Americans amid the coronavirus crisis.

In an eight-part Twitter thread posted this week, McDaniel leveled a blistering playback of inaction by Democrats in the efforts to combat the pandemic that has claimed nearly 5,000 lives worldwide.

“Since Democrats in Congress keep attacking @realDonaldTrump, let’s compare records,” she began, sharing comparisons of steps President Donald Trump was taking in response to the virus outbreak and exposing what Democrats were doing – or not doing – at the same time.

McDaniel started off with the events of January 7, noting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “established a coronavirus incident management system, two days before China announced the outbreak.”

Meanwhile, at the same time, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “began Week 3 of withholding her sham impeachment articles.”

McDaniel continued her Twitter thread, noting how Democrats were still focused on the Trump impeachment trial on January 21 even as the CDC activated its emergency operations center.

She referred to January 27 as a “tale of 2 press conferences,” with Vice President Mike Pence addressing the administration’s efforts to work with China on steps to stem the spread of coronavirus, which originated in the city of Wuhan.

Simultaneously, McDaniel explained, “Chuck Schumer demanded that more time be wasted with new impeachment witnesses.”

Trump’s announcement of travel restrictions from China was praised as a critical step in the fight to contain the spread of the virus, McDaniel said in her next tweet, adding that Democrats met the news with attacks on the president for being “xenophobic” and “racist.”

Democrats and the liberal media have continued to slam Trump as racist for his actions to slow the spread of COVID-19, and even seem to play along with China’s push of a conspiracy theory blaming the U.S. for the outbreak of the disease.

By the beginning of February, McDaniel noted in her next tweet, members of the president’s Coronavirus Task Force met with U.S. governors to coordinate their response efforts. But Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was working on sending a letter to 74 federal government Inspectors General to investigate retaliation against whistleblowers.

While Trump “requested additional funding to fight the coronavirus” by the end of last month, Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York “demanded more documents from AG Barr to continue his political vendetta against the Trump administration,” McDaniel wrote.

And as Trump focused on a coronavirus vaccine at the beginning of the month, Democrats focused their efforts on establishing punishments for those who defied congressional subpoenas.

McDaniel wrapped up her rebuke of Democrats with a final tweet summing up the “bottom line.”

“While @realDonaldTrump and his administration have been focused on protecting YOU, Democrats in Congress have been focused on attacking HIM!” she tweeted.

Critics of the president on social media naturally used McDaniel’s tweets as a reason to bash Trump and his administration. But other Twitter users backed up the RNC chair’s argument and applauded all that the president has been doing to combat the outbreak and keep Americans from panicking.
