If you’re an older American, then brace yourself, for it appears your younger millennial and Generation Z compatriots are sort of pining for your death. Or, at the very least, they’re celebrating it as they kvetch about their allegedly miserable lives.
They’re doing so via the #BoomerRemover hashtag, which is being shared partly by Communism-loving whippersnappers who resent their elders.
Case in point:
Millennials and Gen Z: dying from depression, homelessness, nonliving wages, mass shootings, poor healthcare, etc
Boomers: Walk it off, snowflakes.
Millennials and Gen Z: *calls coronavirus Boomer Remover*
Boomers: NOW LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE SHITS HOW DARE YOU PEOPLE ARE DYING

Whoa this blew up…
Just wanna clarify that I don’t hate all boomers. I think some boomers are cool because they brought the Beatles and Hendrix.
But some of y’all are obnoxious and don’t even know what you’re talking about either because you’re out of touch or out of meds.

The trend appears to be sparked in part, over reports that some ‘boomers’ are reportedly planning on going about their daily lives as much as they can during the outbreak.

**Warning for some language ahead**
They’re also upset that boomers have ‘ruined’ the planet:

And it’s taken over Twitter:
apparently every teen got a memo today to start calling coronavirus the "boomer remover." this is my Teen Update

Speaking of one not knowing “what you’re talking about,” wages are up for most Americans, save perhaps of course for the lazy and apathetic.
In fact, according to the latest Gallup data, 90 percent of Americans “are satisfied with the way things are going in their personal life,” save perhaps of course for the lazy and apathetic.
Suffice it to say, those Americans young and old alike who are taking charge, leading responsible lives and working hard appear to be faring just fine.
Meanwhile, those who prefer to stew in self-misery are suffering, as they want to do regardless of the political and economic climate.
The #BoomerRemover hashtag is also being shared by those trying to make some point about political correctness:
Boomers: “You need to learn to take a joke, snowflake! Racism jokes are hilarious! Homophobic jokes are hilarious! You SJWs need to grow some balls!”
Also Boomers: “WHY ARE YOU MAKING JOKES ABOUT THIS THIS ISN’T FUNNY YOU ARE ALL HEARTLESS PEOPLE”#BoomerRemover

wait a minute … so y’all make tons of “insensitive” jokes all the time but when boomer remover is trending all of a sudden y’all feelings are hurt?? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE #BoomerRemover pic.twitter.com/HI3ciGJChP

Is that a fair argument? It depends on whether you see an equivalency between politically incorrect humor and the blatant celebration of people dying.
On that note, it likely also depends on whether you’re the type of person who likes to chant “love trumps hate” in one breath but turn around and cheer the deaths of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, former first lady Barbara Bush and former FNC host Eric Bolling’s son in the other.
It may also depend on whether you’re the type of person who demands a “safe space” when confronted by opposing ideas, raunchy humor or President Donald Trump.
Among those sharing the #BoomerRemover hashtag are also those who resent older Americans for supporting fiscally conservative policies that call for reigning in unsustainable entitlements programs and opposing Medicare-for-All.
Look:
Not sure why older Americans would be mad at younger generations for calling the Coronavirus the Boomer Remover.
Trump did say he wanted to gut Medicaid & SS weeks ago. Seems to me that Trump & GOP doing nothing during a pandemic that mostly kills u is fulfilling that wish. pic.twitter.com/rccz6jpPWz

LMAO ? Ppl mad at kids calling #CoronavirusPandemic the #BoomerRemover ?
Kids arent the ones that kept us from having #MedicareForAll or trying to cut Social Security, & they sure AF arent the ones who Refuse to issue a National #StateOfEmergency#WeNeedBernie #PresidentSanders pic.twitter.com/LhFNi2vRoB— ☭Commie☭Angel☭ #BernieOrVest (@CommieAngel) March 13, 2020
The president has mulled calling for cutting Medicaid and Social Security, but not because he seeks to destroy the programs. Rather, he seeks to make them sustainable so that retirees don’t face far more draconian cuts in the future.
“[T]he program will soon begin expending more money in a given year than it brings in. This hasn’t happened since 1982, the year before Congress passed the last major bipartisan overhaul of the Social Security program,” The Motley Fool notes.
“A net-cash outflow, no matter how small, is concrete evidence that the existing payout schedule, inclusive of cost-of-living adjustments, isn’t sustainable. Per the Trustees report, by 2035 these net-cash outflows are forecast to have completely wiped out Social Security’s nearly $2.9 trillion in asset reserves (i.e., aggregate net-cash surpluses that have been built up over time and are invested in special-issue bonds). When these asset reserves are gone, estimated benefit cuts of up to 23% for then-current and future retired workers would soon follow.”
Again, it seems like the millennials and Generation Z whippersnappers crying loudest about how older Americans don’t know “what you’re talking about” are the ones actually ignorant of reality.
Of course, for every action there’s almost always an equal and opposite reaction, and thus is the case with the #BoomerRemover hashtag, which has in turn inspired plenty of grown adults to come out swinging not against boomers but rather against these young boomer haters.
The hashtag has also inspired them to remind their young brethren of all that the boomers have endured.
Look:
I’m tired of this generational bulls*it, and waking up to see “Boomer Remover” as a moniker for Coronavirus is f*cking disgusting.
People really are s*itheads.

Millennials, the most useless generation in American history, collectively managed to crap a follow up to their most prized contribution to society #okboomer, out of their uncreative empty skulls. Introducing Boomer Remover. #BoomerRemover

Millennials and Gen X, Y, and Z’s would die off pretty quickly without “Boomers”. And if the “Boomers” did die, the twats would be right behind ‘em. #BoomerRemover
