Important update: This post has been corrected based on new information. A video shared by the Trump campaign was shortened to reflect former vice president Joe Biden saying, “We cannot win this re-election, excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump.” The full context reads, “Excuse me. We can only reelect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. It’s gotta be a positive campaign.” BPR reported the tweet and video that was shared by the Trump War Room. Twitter has deemed the shortened version as “manipulated media.” The post and headline have been corrected to reflect the new information.
The media is billing Joe Biden’s campaign efforts these days as resurgent, but the rigors of being on the stump for months seem to be taking a toll on the 77-year old former vice president.
So much so that he’s now flubbing his own name.
Of course, the other alternative here is that Fox News senior analyst Brit Hume was correct when he suggested Biden “may be non compos mentis, or at least, headed in that direction” — the phrase meaning “not sane or in one’s right mind.”
Biden was in St. Louis on Saturday and while he only spoke for 10 minutes, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, he appeared confused at times, struggling to maintain his train of thought while making one gaffe after another and was slurring his words throughout.
But the culmination of the embarrassing performance was when he called himself an Obiden-Bama Democrat, as opposed to an Obama-Biden Democrat.
Running on the idea of restoring “dignity and honor” to the White House, there was nothing dignified about Biden’s struggles Saturday.
In a clip the Trump campaign was quick to capitalize on, Biden stumbles badly as he says, “Turn this primary from a campaign which is about negative attacks to one that’s about what we’re for. We cannot get re-elect — we cannot win this re-election, excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump.”
This clip was shortened. The second part, which was not included says, “Excuse me. We can only reelect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. It’s gotta be a positive campaign.”

Of course, the protective media has taken to drumming up the fact that Biden once suffered from stuttering to account for what his dismal showing.
Even progressive Democrats who support socialist Bernie Sanders were quick to pan Biden’s “verbal errors” while questioning his mental competence.
“This is NOT a stutter. This is serious,” tweeted the group The Path Forward YT.
This is Joe Biden at his St. Louis rally earlier today. He spoke for less than 10 minutes, and these are just SOME of the verbal errors he made. This is NOT a stutter. This is serious. @progressvoice @KyleKulinski @OrganizingPower @CANCEL_SAM @shaunking #WhereIsJoe pic.twitter.com/5zsWddwqNi

The list of gaffes is continuous at this point, as seen in the run-up to Super Tuesday, which the candidate called “Super Thursday” in one appearance.
Biden would totally butcher the Declaration of Independence during this time, as can be seen here.

After finishing strong on Super Tuesday, Biden seemed to confuse his wife and his sister when taking to the stage to give a victory speech.
Joe Biden can't help it at this point…his entire life is just one big gaffe.

Perhaps, the worst flub of all was when Biden talked about meeting with Parkland, Florida, high school students in 2018 as vice president, even though he had been out of office since 2016.
Nonetheless, with the alternative at this point being Sanders, a 78-year-old socialist, many Democrats are whistling past the graveyard to avoid backing the senator from Vermont, who they are convinced will lose to Trump.
Not that Biden will fare all that well, considering all the swirling questions about his mental fitness that a complicit media tries its best to obscure.
The online reactions to the story include tweets wondering if Biden will make it to the Democratic National Convention, and others suggesting that Trump will eat him alive during the presidential debates if Biden is the nominee.
One thing is sure, Biden promises to unite this country, and he has accomplished that already because left and right are in agreement that Biden has some real problems.
Here are a few samplings from Twitter:
Guys. This is sad. They cannot put him on the ballot.

This is cruel. I care about the humanity of a person before I do about politics. It’s mean, his family letting him be out there on the campaign when he is dealing with something mentally. Let him rest. Take it easy. Get help for what he’s going through mentally. God bless him.

If he doesn’t have a script to read, he falls apart. What is wrong with Democrats? The thought of @JoeBiden making any significant decision is frightening.

Any minute now they will enter Hillary as his running mate…

370 million people in this country, about half of which are Democrats, and THIS is the best person the Democratic Party could choose to represent them? Seriously? Trump is going to kill this guy in the debates.

I’m not sure Biden even makes it to the convention

What is going through the heads of the people standing there?
— #CharlesDeservesToLive (@LolaMotz) March 8, 2020
Uhh…what? It is insane that the DNC thinks this guy is capable of participating in a presidential campaign much less winning against Trump. It seems like abuse that they drag this guy around to events and try to have him make a coherent speech.
