Acting Homeland Security Secretary Ken Cuccinelli has called for the American people to #BoycottGreyhound over the transportation company’s announcement this weekend that it will no longer allow DHS officials to conduct routine immigration checks on its buses.
“It’s a sad day to see something like this,” Cuccinelli said late Saturday on Fox News. “And hopefully #BoycottGreyhound will pick up. This is not something they talked to us about before they made their public comment. So for us, it’s ultimately about how we can all work together and the effectiveness of our law enforcement efforts.”

But for Greyhound, it’s all about appeasing the radical far-left.
In a report published earlier Saturday, the Associated Press revealed that it’d obtained a statement from Greyhound announcing that it’ll no longer be cooperating with DHS.
“Our primary concern is the safety of our customers and team members, and we are confident these changes will lead to an improved experience for all parties involved,” the company said in defense of its decision.
The blow for DHS, the Trump administration, the nation’s laws, and the nation’s legal citizens came a week after the AP ran a hit piece about Greyhound’s longstanding habit of allowing DHS officials to justifiably conduct immigration checks.
While Greyhound had long claimed that it had no choice in the matter and that federal law demanded it permits the checks, the AP obtained a leaked memo from U.S. Customs and Border Protection that proved otherwise.
Ironically, outrage has now erupted from the law-abiding right:
I have used greyhound for 20 years and I use it probably 150 times a year. I’m supposed to use it tomorrow. I just canceled my ticket. Now that you won’t follow the laws of this country I am never using greyhound again. #boycottgreyhound

What’s cruel is allowing criminals aka illegals to remain in our country! They have no respect for our laws, to come here legally, so they have no respect for our country period! #boycottgreyhound

Everyone needs to Boycott Greyhound until they realize this is AMERICA! We protect Americans from law breaking citizens. I would NOT feel safe riding a Greyhound bus now knowing they harbor illegals. BOYCOTT GREYHOUND!!!

Stupid companies. Putting profits over public safety. Ice should be able to go anywhere to catch the bad guys. Shame on greyhound bus lines! #boycottgreyhound

#BoycottGreyhound. I used to appreciate greyhound and felt that it was mostly a safe method of travel when I couldn’t afford to fly but I will not send my Family or travel when they are blatantly encouraging lawlessness!

FYI, the #BoycottGreyhound hashtag began to trend hours before Cuccinelli even called for a boycott. That’s how upset many are about the company’s decision.
Speaking on FNC’s “Fox & Friends” early Sunday morning, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd blasted Greyhound for its stunning capitulation and defended DHS from former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, of all people.
“Right now I’m fired up,” he said. “I look at the reason that Greyhound gave — the safety of its employees and its passengers. I question what about the safety of the American public at large? I’ve personally gone on to Greyhound bus and arrested an individual that was convicted for sexually molesting a young child.”
“I mean, what about that young child? What about those people that are preyed upon? How about sex trafficking? We know that sex traffickers will exploit every single opportunity that they’re given.”
Chaffetz, now a contributor at FNC, responded by defending Greyhound …
“Brandon, what Greyhound is saying is you have to have a warrant to do that. You can’t just go on the bus and start searching people.”
But that’s not how it ever worked, Judd countered.
“These are consensual encounters,” he said. “If I’m going to go on a bus and I’m going to force somebody to talk to me, yes, I do have to have a warrant. That’s the law. But the law allows us to go on buses and have consensual conversations with individuals.”
“These individuals have never been forced to speak with us, but if they’re going to voluntarily speak with us, that’s a consensual encounter. And why greyhound stopped this process is beyond me. I don’t understand the reasoning behind it.”
Regular “Fox & Friends” co-host Pete Hegseth then cut in to point out that Greyhound buses have effectively now become “sanctuary buses.”
“Pete, you hit the nail on the head,” he said. “That’s exactly how it’s going to go. And again, look at how smugglers are going to exploit this new policy that Greyhound has put into place. We’ve always been able to go on to buses and conduct these consensual encounters very safely. So Greyhound’s reasoning just doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t add up. They’re putting profit above the safety of the American people.”
