What perhaps makes President Donald Trump and his family such endearing figures in the eyes of so many is that they’re no different than everyday Americans in how they speak, how they eat, and even sometimes (though not always) how they travel.
Case in point: When was the last time that a Democrat presidential candidate or even just a lowly congressional Democrat was seen traveling coach?
These days Sen. Elizabeth Warren appears to prefer flying in private jets, whereas front-runner candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders seems to enjoy the first-class life, not that there’s anything wrong with that, save for the fact that Sanders is a socialist …
Why is Elizabeth Warren clearly trying to hide behind one of her staffers when she noticed someone was filming her get off the private jet.
Why are they afraid to be in the public eye – as a publicly elected official. pic.twitter.com/l61ufQVKLt

During a flight sometime this past week from Phoenix to Las Vegas, on the other hand, the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was seen flying coach. And not just flying coach but sitting in the highly undesired middle seat as well.
Look:
HOW COOL IS THIS!! Don Jr. Is Traveling From Phoenix To Las Vegas Right Now….CENTER ROW….COACH! Don’t Let Anyone Tell You That The Trump Family Doesn’t Know How Real Americans Live! Bet You Won’t Be Seeing Any Democratic Presidential Hopefuls Flying Coach! @realDonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/Fi3PCZwgVq

The photo was snapped by Arizona man Eric D. Walowitz.
“I took the selfie from my cell phone with my wife and she posted it on Instagram. We’re not political but Donald Trump Jr was a very nice, chill, down to earth and real dude,” he said in an emailed statement to BizPac Review.
He added that Trump Jr. was a “a gentleman” and “cool as hell.”
Suffice it to say, he wasn’t cranky like Democrat front-runner Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Meanwhile, the president’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, shared a photo to Instagram on Friday of her having a casual “lunch date” with her three-year-old son Theodore at the White House Mess, a small dining facility located in the basement of the West Wing.
Look:
This is the type of stuff normal, everyday Americans do.
They:
- Travel coach.
- Spend time with their kids.
- Tell jokes.
- Talk fun trash to one another.
- Go fishing with their family.
- Celebrate national pride.
- Have romantic weekends with their significant other.
- Etc.
What they don’t do is deliver high and mighty, sanctimonious rants about “how dare you live a normal life, you deplorable, instead of sacrificing everything so that the world can operate in the manner which the elites such as me deem appropriate!”
Nor do they purposefully try to pepper their speech with fancy words and ideas just to appear intelligent. They speak from the heart just like the president.
According to Georgetown University linguist Jennifer Sclafani, the president’s simple but effective speaking style has “contributed to his overall image as a political outsider, giving him an ‘authentic’ impression,” as reported by the International Business Times.
“Former president Herbert Hoover topped the list with 11th-grade level. Jimmy Carter came second with 10th-grade level and Barack Obama was on the third spot with ninth-grade level,” the outlet reported Monday
While this makes the president “dumb” in the eyes of know-it-all liberal elites, to the average working-class American it makes him relatable.
“Trump’s speech is appealing to many because it contrasts with the rehearsed style of other candidates,” Sclafani said.
“Also, fragmented sentences are natural and common because that’s how most speak, so Trump has a ‘more conversational’ manner of speaking and this makes him appear ‘more relatable because he speaks in the way we all do in everyday life,'” IBT added.
When speaking to the American people, the president realizes that he’s not writing an academic paper — he’s just trying to keep it real. Of course, sometimes keeping it real can be a bad thing, but for the most part, it’s been a boon for his presidency.
But what likely makes Trump and his family the most relatable to the American people are their priorities, which are all about boosting America and its people, not boosting the fringe, the insane and the arguably anti-American.
The Democrat party is the party of high taxes, high crime, open borders, late-term abortion, socialism, blatant corruption, and the total destruction of your Second Amendment. President @realDonaldTrump is draining the swamp, nominating constitutionalist judges, protecting our nat’l security, & building the wall. #PromisesMade #PromisesKept

On Nov 3rd we will witness more Dems voting Trump, more Blacks, Latinos & minorities voting Trump. It’s simple. President Trump is the only guy in Washington doing anything. They all just want to obstruct him or “preach fear” what he might do. #KAG2020 #PromisesMadePromisesKept pic.twitter.com/KAEZqPYNmT

Their priorities certainly don’t include trashing everyday Americans as “toothless rubes” and advocating for the interest of the elites over those of the working class.
“Maybe they should come down from their ivory towers and talk to real Americans about the issues they face every day,” Rep. Guy Reschenthaler suggested this week during an appearance on Fox Business Network’s “Trish Regan Primetime.”
Yeah, but that would mean jumping off their high horse and actually spending time with the American people … and perhaps even flying with them in coach.
Today’s Democrat party is run by coastal elites who see how @realDonaldTrump is working for the American people, and it terrifies them. Maybe they should come down from their ivory towers and talk to real Americans about the issues they face every day. pic.twitter.com/qqbpTsDJGN
