Bloomberg’s let ’em die shocker: If you get cancer at 95, we should say ‘you’ve lived a long life, we can’t do anything’

Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg believes that the government should essentially just let elderly men and women who’ve been diagnosed with cancer die, because treating them would use up funds that could instead be spent on the youth.

“All of these costs just keep going up,” he says in the horrific video clip below. “Nobody wants to pay anymore money. And at the rate we’re going, healthcare is going to bankrupt us. So not only do we have a problem … we’ve got to sit here and say which things we’re gonna do and which things we’re not. Nobody wants to do that.”

Nobody wants to do that because healthcare rationing is evil and antithetical to the values of a free society, though to hear the left tell it, it’s a “necessary evil” …

If you show up with prostate cancer, you’re 95 years old, [we] should say go and enjoy, you’ve lived a long life, there’s no cure,” Bloomberg continues. “We can’t do anything. If you’re a young person, we should do something about it. Society’s not willing to do that, yet.”

While it’s not fully clear where and when the footage was recorded, it does appear to show the candidate speaking at a 2020 campaign event.

Moreover, the remarks were so shocking that even fairly far-left personalities like pretend black man and wannabe superhero Shaun King were taken aback.

Look (*Language warning):

There’s just one problem …

Bloomberg’s shocking rhetoric epitomizes the central aspect of left-wing-styled healthcare, which is that some lives are more important than others.

This attitude explains why, according to Monmouth polling data from August, even a notable 53 majority of Democrat voters reportedly would prefer that any sort of left-wing universal healthcare system be set up as just an “opt in” with the choice still present for Americans to purchase traditional healthcare insurance is so desired.

Otherwise, if a full-fledged left-wing healthcare system were implemented in America and private insurance abolished, as is desired by some of the more radical 2020 Democrat candidates, 95-year-old men and women would be straight out of luck.

And it just so happens that one of the most radical candidates in the 2020 election, Sen. Bernie Sanders, a staunch supporter of abolishing private healthcare insurance, is the very candidate whom King backs …

That he’d endorse Sanders — whose radical healthcare proposal would engender the exact sort of rationing sought by Bloomberg — but then turn around and be surprised by the former New York City mayor’s remarks suggests he doesn’t really understand what he’s signed up for.

It’s rather ironic if you think about …

That being said, Bloomberg was somewhat correct about healthcare bankrupting America. Socialized healthcare schemes like Medicare and Medicaid, the former of which is usually (not always) paid into, are indeed draining America’s coffers.

“Government-funded Medicare and Medicaid account for more than $1 of every $3 of U.S. health-care spending and $1 of every $4 in the federal budget,” CNBC reported in 2018.

“Medicare has been growing at more than twice the rate of inflation and is forecast to accelerate as baby boomers age, while the cost of Medicaid has grown as the Affordable Care Act has brought Medicaid coverage to more people.”

And FYI, it is possible to collect Medicare without working a single day in your life.

Unlike Bloomberg, conservative Republicans aren’t interested in resolving the debacle by rationing care. Instead they’d like to toughen the eligibility requirements so that, as an example, illegals, people who’ve never worked a day in their lives or those who’re perfectly able-bodied can’t leech off the system anymore.

But to some Democrats, it’s this idea of making the system more accountable that’s “heartless” and “cruel.” As for rationing care, that’s perfectly reasonable:

It’s almost as if the party of abortion doesn’t value life …
