Border Patrol to deploy hardcore elite tactical swat team to sanctuary cities to help ICE

The Trump administration has reportedly begun deploying members of a hardcore elite swat team to the most illegal alien-infested sanctuary cities in America (New York, Los Angeles, etc.) to assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in enforcing the law.

“Lawrence Payne, a spokesman for Customs and Border Protection, confirmed that the agency was deploying 100 officers to work with ICE, which conducts arrests in the interior of the country, ‘in order to enhance the integrity of the immigration system, protect public safety, and strengthen our national security,'” The New York Times reported Friday.

Among the 100 officers will be members of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC), an elite group that functions as U.S. Border Patrol’s swat team.

“With additional gear such as stun grenades and enhanced Special Forces-type training, including sniper certification, the officers typically conduct high-risk operations targeting individuals who are known to be violent, many of them with extensive criminal records,” the Times noted.

“The unit’s work often takes place in the most rugged and swelteringly hot areas of the border. It can involve breaking into stash houses maintained by smuggling operations that are known to be filled with drugs and weapons.”

These guys are hardcore, and according to a statement from ICE Director Matthew Albence, their involvement in the apprehension of illegal aliens has become mandatory because left-wing jurisdictions such as New York keep releasing dangerous illegal aliens (rapists, murderers, drug dealers) back onto the streets.

“As we have noted for years, in jurisdictions where we are not allowed to assume custody of aliens from jails, our officers are forced to make at-large arrests of criminal aliens who have been released into communities,” he said.

“When sanctuary cities release these criminals back to the street, it increases the occurrence of preventable crimes, and more importantly, preventable victims.”

The release of highly dangerous illegal aliens also greatly amplifies the risk that local and federal authorities alike face when trying to apprehend these scofflaws.

Take what happened last February in California when Napa County Sheriff’s Deputy Riley Jarecki “stopped to conduct a vehicle check of a red Honda parked in a southern part of Napa County around 11 p.m,” as reported at the time by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Inside the vehicle was Javier Hernandez-Morales, a known illegal alien who’d repeatedly been released back onto the streets by local authorities after being arrested for charges such as “suspicion of driving under the influence, battery on a peace officer, selling liquor to a minor,” etc.

As Jarecki tried to speak with Hernandez-Morales, the illegal alien rolled down his window and then fired a stolen .22-caliber revolver at her at point-blank range. She survived, luckily, and was able to fire back and justifiably kill the illegal thug.

Watch:

“This incident may have been prevented if ICE had been notified about any of the multiple times Hernandez-Morales was released from local custody over the last few years,” frustrated ICE officials noted at the time.

“This is an impactful, scary example of how public safety is affected by laws or policies limiting local law enforcement agencies’ ability to cooperate with ICE.”

This altercation was not mentioned in the Times’ report. Instead, the far-left paper framed the Trump administration’s latest move as an attack on illegal alien families.

“[F]amily members and friends are often swept up in the enforcement net in what are known as ‘collateral’ arrests, and many such people could now be caught up in any enhanced operations,” the paper reported.

Despite the paper’s propaganda-like framing of the issue, the fact remains that illegal immigration is a crime, regardless of whether it’s committed by someone dangerous such as Hernandez-Morales or someone not as dangerous.

This, however, is a fact that the left has sought to deny, ergo why sanctuary localities have sprung up in Democrat cities across the nation, and why a startling number of Americans have been indoctrinated into believing illegal immigration is a right.

A video that went viral just this past week shows Americans inside a Burger King in El Paso creating a fuss as U.S. Border Patrol agents rightfully try to apprehend an illegal alien.

“Border Patrol officials said they found the man at Burger King and questioned him. Officials said records indicated the man was in the country illegally and had a criminal history,” New Mexico station KFOX reported.

“Officials said the man refused to cooperate with the verbal instructions and tried to avoid being handcuffed and a struggle ensued. Border Patrol officials said agents deployed a taser to control the man. The man was then taken into custody.”

Throughout the arrest, others could be heard chastising the BP agents for doing their job:

I never thought I would experience something like this at work after seeing it happen on social media.

As the footage went viral, it triggered further recriminations from those in the public, regardless of the man’s status as not only an illegal alien but one with a criminal history.

The same sort of recriminations followed the publication of the Times’ report Friday. To hear members of the left tell it, BORTAC members are equivalent to Nazi stormtroopers.

Such fact-free, irrational portrayals of reality are inevitable when all the agenda-driven media does is mislead the public. Habitually.
