Cops retreat from Antifa, domestic terrorists throwing projectiles, tell reporters ‘we’re not going to save you’

Shocking new video footage out of Portland, Oregon, shows local authorities not only retreating from roving bands of masked Antifa terrorists but also telling one independent journalist that “we’re not going to come out and save you” if he’s attacked.

The journalist, a member of Stumptown Matters, an independent group that documents “protests, rallies and other public events” in Portland, revealed in a YouTube upload late Saturday that he’d showed up to downtown Portland earlier in the day “to film and document the protest of a KKK rally that was reported to take place that day.”

“When I arrived at the scene, I learned that the KKK canceled their event. I despise the KKK and racism in general. I was actually looking forward to siding with Antifa on this day. For they had real and legit racists to confront had the KKK followed through with their initial plans. So ultimately I stood across the street from the Antifa Gathering and gazed upon them just to estimate the number of their turnout.”

However, he wound up being chased off after being spotted by a notorious local Antifa member by the name of Luis Enrique Marquez.

Watch:

“I was planning on leaving and I hadn’t even begun filming yet. Then Luis Marquez called me out by name. I said hello and then I raised my camera to start filming the commotion,” the unnamed journalist wrote.

“Then a masked group of 20 or more people began to spread out and cross the street from where Luis was standing and began to walk fast toward me. They had concealed objects or weapons in their hands, one of which was approaching me while shaking a can of pepper spray.”

Antifa terrorists have a sordid history of harassing and/or attacking independent journalists, not to mention Trump supporters and the elderly.

Once the journalist reached the Multnomah County Justice Center, a riot police officer confronted him and told him he’d be on his own if he ventured back out onto the public streets

“We’re not going to run out here and save you,” the officer said. “You know what I mean? I’m just telling you, that ain’t gonna happen again, so you better go probably find something else, ok? We’re not going to be helpers for you.”

As previously noted, Antifa showed up in downtown Portland to protest the Ku Klux Klan. But after the KKK failed to show, the left-wing terrorists turned their ire and animosity on not only journalists but the police as well.

The same thing reportedly happened in Olympia, Washington, two months ago.

“Lacking the ostensible target of the counter-protest, several hundred people dressed in Antifa outlets ended up zeroing in on livestreamers, several counter counter-protesters and officers with the Portland Police Bureau,” the Pamplin Media Group reported.

As the protest began, local authorities warned that “demonstrators are exhibiting aggressive behavior towards individuals who are lawfully filming in the area” and that some “demonstrators possess weapons, including bats and pepper spray.”

Additional video footage from the scene may be seen below:

Antifa terrorists were also seen vandalizing federal property and private businesses.

Look:

After the protest, the Portland Police Bureau released a statement announcing that only three arrests had been made, despite all the vandalism and harassment committed by Antifa, some of which the bureau then proceeded to describe.

“Metal-tipped umbrellas were used to jab toward people and chase them down the street, and objects (including rocks, concrete, batons, cans, and food) were thrown at community members and police,” the bureau wrote.

“There has also been vandalism, including spray paint on walls and a war memorial (photos). At least two incendiary devices (believed to be flares) were thrown into the street while vehicular traffic was driving by.”

The three arrested may be seen below:

The small number of arrests and the bureau’s unwillingness — both Saturday and in numerous times past — to truly rein in Antifa’s behavior or recognize Antifa terrorists as terrorists (versus “demonstrators“) has made it a target of anger and backlash on social media.

As one critic wrote, “It’s domestic terrorism, not merely criminal activity.”
