Senator Rand Paul eviscerated former Obama CIA director John Brennan in a scathing Twitter beatdown, where he said: “Your shame alone should shut you up.”
Paul tweeted: “You want to know what’s a mockery of public service, John? Killing 500 people outside of any judicial system. Drone strikes on American citizens. Approving British spies to present a dossier of lies paid for by Hillary. Lying to Congress. Your shame alone should shut you up.”
Brennan is currently an anti-Trump commentator at MSNBC.

Brennan had trashed Paul for reading aloud on the Senate floor this week his question that Supreme Court Justice John Roberts had censored during the impeachment trial.
The senator also read his banned question at a press conference last week hours after Justice Roberts blocked it at trial.
Senator Paul’s censored question did not once say the word “whistleblower” or identify who he was.

John Brennan reacted by tweeting: “Rand Paul is beneath contempt. He typifies the worst of Donald Trump’s craven enablers. Any Senator excusing this dangerous behavior makes a mockery of public service. History will revile all of you.”

Senator Paul told reporters that he read the question aloud “because the Constitution does protect debate and does protect the asking of questions.”
Paul also underscored that he never once said who the “whistleblower” was, even though his identity is an open secret in Washington and among the media.
“They made a big mistake not allowing my question,” Paul said. “My question did not talk about anybody who is a whistleblower. My question did not accuse anybody of being a whistleblower.”
Paul explained that he “simply named two people’s names.” If someone thinks in their mind that one of those names is the “whistleblower,” that’s not his fault.
Paul pointed out that “the law does not preserve anonymity” for the alleged whistleblower. The law merely says “his boss is not supposed to say anything about him and he’s not supposed to be fired [for blowing the whistle]. I’m for that.”
For the record, there is no law preventing the media or members of Congress from outing the Democratic “whistleblower” by name.

This is not the first time that John Brennan’s partisan hypocrisy has been spotlighted. In 2018, Benghazi hero Kris Paronto, an Army Ranger, tore into Brennan for politicizing the CIA, which is supposed to be nonpartisan.
After Brennan whined because President Trump revoked his security clearance (years after he left government service), Paronto blasted Brennan: “You and the CIA Kool-Aid drinkers punished us for not going along with the Benghazi cover-up story in order to protect you, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama’s failures. You put your politics before us.”

Kris “Tanto” Paronto is the U.S. Army Ranger who was part of the CIA Special Forces that responded to the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya.
The attack by radical Islamic terrorists led to the deaths of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Immediately after the Benghazi attack, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied to the world by falsely claiming the terrorist attack was caused by an anti-Muslim video.

Obama and his partisan CIA (led by then-director John Brennan) backed up Hillary’s lies, presumably because he didn’t want the Benghazi scandal — which occurred in September 2012 — to hurt his chances for re-election in November 2012.
That sure sounds like “abuse of power” to benefit Obama’s reelection. Just like the kind that House Democrats accused President Trump of during their sham impeachment.
