Senator Elizabeth Warren’s got a plan for that.
The Massachusetts Democrat’s signature phrase, “I’ve got a plan for that” now appears to include a policy that would create a Justice Department task force to target “violations” committed by the Trump administration.
The corruption and immigration infractions will be investigated and prosecuted after President Trump has left office, of course, with Warren firmly planted in the Oval Office. The 2020 Democratic hopeful unveiled her new campaign plan which accused Trump of running the “most corrupt administration in history.”
“If we are to move forward to restore public confidence in government and deter future wrongdoing, we cannot simply sweep this corruption under the rug in a new administration,” Warren explained in her “Restoring Integrity and Competence to Government After Trump” plan.
One year from today, the next president will begin her first full day of work. She’ll inherit a government in crisis, infected by corruption, and will need the expertise and drive to rebuild it and ensure it works for the people. I’ve got a plan for that. https://t.co/UqWX9Zm0HT

“On day one of my presidency, I will take aggressive steps to root out the corruption and incompetence of the Trump administration and to hold that administration accountable,” she declared.
Donald Trump has done serious damage to our government. He’s left key positions unfilled. Of those he has filled, he’s appointed lobbyists, campaign donors, and cronies. His current vindictive actions mean he’s likely to do everything he can to undermine the next president.

Warren revealed that she will be “wiping the slate clean” on Trump’s political appointments and will “root out officials who attempt to burrow into agencies” by preventing political appointees from “converting from a political appointment into a career position,” a plan which seems like it would target most of Washington.
She also promised that her cabinet will be “at least 50% … filled by women and non-binary people.”
But Warren’s DOJ task force would be aimed at retroactively investigating the Trump administration and whether any officials broke any “federal bribery laws, insider trading laws, and other anti-corruption and public integrity laws” while in office.
I’ll move swiftly to appoint new personnel who will undo the Trump administration’s disastrous policies. I’ll adopt the strictest anti-corruption hiring rules of any administration in American history.

“I have also committed to establishing a task force to investigate accusations of serious violations by immigration officials during the Trump era,” she explained, vowing that she will appoint a Secretary of Homeland Security who is “committed to undoing the damage caused by the Trump administration and who believes that immigration makes our country stronger, not weaker.”
Donald Trump’s presidency has been a dark time—but it won’t end just because he’s left office. Rooting out corruption and incompetence, rebuilding our government, and ensuring it will work for the people will require painstaking work. I’ve got a serious plan to get it done.

Democrats have been on a mission to remove Trump as soon as he was elected in 2016. Apparently voting him out won’t be enough and progressives like Warren think her plan to wipe away any traces of a Trump administration will be acceptable, and legal.
The 2020 contender pledged Wednesday that she would not spread fake news online, claiming that Trump “invited” the “disinformation and online foreign interference” affecting our democracy.

Warren’s delusional plan to investigate Trump if she ever finds herself elected as president was met with deserved mockery on Twitter.
