Marsha Blackburn feels the left’s wrath when she attacks the character of ‘Super Patriot’ Alexander Vindman

Sen. Marsha Blackburn triggered fury from the left Thursday for daring to criticize left-wing hero and alleged “super patriot” U.S. Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.

Vindman is the sketchy figure who triggered “Russiagate 2: Ukranian Boogaloo” by complaining to the still publicly unidentified whistleblower about President Donald Trump’s July 25th phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In tweets posted from the Senate gallery as Democrat impeachment manager Adam Schiff was speaking, Blackburn excoriated Vindman over emerging accusations that he was a rebellious, anti-American and anti-Trump punk versus a “super patriot.”

The tweets triggered unadulterated rage from the left, which as conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh often notes, views Vindman as a “super patriot.”

Not included in the rage-filled tweets was any actual evidence to dispute Blackburn’s allegations, which were based on two bombshell reports that emerged Thursday.

Nor was any substance included in Vindman’s own response.

“That a member of the Senate — at a moment when the Senate is undertaking its most solemn responsibility — would choose to take to Twitter to spread slander about a member of the military is a testament to cowardice,” his attorney reportedly complained to the media late Thursday, inspiring derision from conservative journalist Sean Davis:

As for the reports that emerged Thursday …

Last October, when Vindman’s name first hit the public spotlight, a man claiming to have been his former commanding officer posted tweets about his alleged behavior.

“Do not let the uniform fool you. He is a political activist in uniform,” a Twitter user identifying as “retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Jim Hickman” tweeted about Vindman.

Others have suggested the same.

The figure identifying as “Hickman” went on to claim that he once overheard Vindman trash-talking American to a group of Russian soldiers.

“He would speak with the Russian soldiers and laugh as if at the expense of the US personnel,” he tweeted. “It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional, one of the GS [civil service] employees came and told me everything . . . . I walked over and sat within earshot of Vindman, and sure enough, all was confirmed.”

While the legitimacy of “Hickman’s” identity and his claims remain unknown, it’s clear Blackburn had been referencing them in her tweets about Vindman.

It appears she’d also been referencing a story published Wednesday by journalist Paul E. Sperry of the Hoover Institution alleging that two weeks into Trump’s presidency, the whistleblower “was overheard in the White House discussing with another staffer how to remove the newly elected president from office, according to former colleagues.”

This alleged behavior pattern seems to match that of Vindman, who last year bypassed his chain of command and directly contacted the National Security Council to complain about the president’s phone call, and all allegedly as part of a purposeful plot to remove Trump from office.

Speaking later Thursday evening with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Blackburn offered some further clarification on her concerns about Vindman.

“You look at what his commanders said — he has a problem with his judgment. That’s been pointed out,” she noted. “He had one commander who said he is a political activist in uniform. He has had problems with going outside of his chain of command, which is what he did here.”

Fact-check: TRUE.

Tim Morrison, a former National Security Council official, testified last November that Vindman’s top boss, Fiona Hill, the former deputy assistant to the president and senior director for Europe and Russia on the National Security Council staff, did express concerns about his judgment.

“I talked to a lot of military members on a regular basis,” Blackburn continued. “They have a real problem with some of the things and the manner in which he conducted himself in this matter.”

But to the left, addressing any of the valid concerns about the fact-averse “super patriot” and his alleged anti-Americanism apparently makes one a “repugnant traitor” …
