President Donald Trump unloaded on former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for his criticism of the man who killed a gunman in a Texas church.

Trump tweeted his attack on “Mini Mike Bloomberg” on Sunday, calling out the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate as a “fake” and against the Second Amendment.

At an Alabama campaign stop earlier this month, Bloomberg had been critical of the actions of Jack Wilson, who many hailed as a hero last month when he potentially saved hundreds of lives by shooting a gunman who opened fire at West Freeway Church of Christ.

Wilson, a volunteer security guard and former firearms instructor, took out the gunman within seconds of his fatally shooting two people inside the house of worship in December. But Bloomberg, a longtime anti-gun advocate, had been openly critical of the “average citizen.”

“It may be true that someone in the congregation had his own gun and killed the person who murdered two other people, but it’s the job of law enforcement to have guns and to decide when to shoot,” the Democrat said earlier this month. “You just do not want the average citizen carrying a gun in a crowded place.”

Trump slammed the former three-term New York City mayor on Sunday.

“Now Mini Mike Bloomberg is critical of Jack Wilson, who saved perhaps hundreds of people in a Church because he was carrying a gun, and knew how to use it,” the president tweeted.

“Jack quickly killed the shooter, who was beginning a rampage. Mini is against the 2nd A. His ads are Fake, just like him!” Trump added.

The president had called out the billionaire business man just days ago for “purposely wrong” campaign ads which he slammed as a “vanity project.”

Bloomberg fired back, calling Trump the “expert on vanity projects.”

The 77-year-old former mayor has been a vocal critic of the president and is reportedly ready to drop 2 billion to keep him from being re-elected. He also recently stated that if he were a U.S. Senator right now, he would vote to “convict” the president.

Many agreed with the president’s takedown of Bloomberg for his critique of Wilson, who was honored with the first ever Governor’s Medal of Courage by Texas Governor Greg Abbott last week.
