Propaganda video of Iran attacking US White House, meant as warning of ‘hard revenge,’ seen as a joke

As a top Iranian conservative politician warned Friday that an operation of “hard revenge” against the United States is just now beginning, a video emerged on social media of the U.S. Capitol and the White House being attacked — and President Donald Trump being assassinated, raising questions of whether Iran’s bite is as tough as its bark.

The video was shared on Twitter by “Heshmat Alavi,” an alleged user who purports to be a “political activist and supporter for regime change in Iran.”

Watch:

Though Alavi claimed the video originated with Iran’s mullahs, its legitimacy remains unclear, as does the question of whether or not a political activist by the name of Heshmat Alavi even exists.

“Heshmat Alavi appears not to exist. Alavi’s persona is a propaganda operation run by the Iranian opposition group Mojahedin-e-Khalq, which is known by the initials MEK, two sources [said],” The Intercept reported over the summer.

“Heshmat Alavi is a persona run by a team of people from the political wing of the MEK,” Hassan Heyrani, a high-ranking MEK defector, claimed. “They write whatever they are directed by their commanders and use this name to place articles in the press. This is not and has never been a real person.”

Prior to being exposed by The Intercept, Alavi reportedly had columns published at The Hill, Forbes and other outlets. Some of the outlets reportedly removed his work afterward. Others chose to keep the work online.

Despite the video’s apparent illegitimacy, it’s attracted mockery from those already amused by Iran’s attempts to sound tough (even as it saves face).

What’s not in dispute is Iran’s call for “hard revenge.”

“The hard revenge has just begun,” Muhammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, a conservative politician who serves as the Imam of Friday Prayer in Tehran, said while addressing worshipers on Friday, according to the Iranian-based Tasnim News Agency.

The Mehr News Agency, a propaganda outlet for the rogue regime, provided similar confirmation, adding that Ali Akbari also said, “From now on, US interests across the world will be posed to extensive threats. This dominating regime has numerous military bases. from now on, having too many bases, especially in this region, will not act as an advantage for them.”

The agency further noted that this sentiment is being expressed on social media via the #Hard_Revenge and #HardRevenge hashtags.

“The Hashtag is about Iran’s firm decision for taking a hard revenge from the US for its terrorist move of assassinating IRGC Quds Force commander, Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and Iraq’s Hashd al-Sah’abi deputy Mahdi al-Muhandis,” the outlet wrote.

In reality, top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani was eliminated by a Trump administration drone strike last week not only over his history of terrorism but also over his links to the attack on the Baghdad Embassy and reports he’d intended to carry out similar attacks.

Social media users have also mocked and shamed Iran over its desires for “hard revenge,” especially in light of the rogue regime’s accidental downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752, which it reportedly admitted to Saturday.

“A military statement on state TV early on Saturday blamed ‘human error’ for the downing of Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 on Wednesday in the tense aftermath of strikes on US targets,” The Guardian reported. “It was followed by an apology from Iran’s president and condolences from the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”

The downed flight contained 82 Iranians …

And so as “hard revenge” for America killing its top general — a terrorist mastermind reportedly responsible for killing thousands of people, including Iranians — the rogue regime “unintentionally” killed 82 of its own people, as well as 94 people from other nations.

Moreover, dozens more Iranians died during a stampede at Soleimani’s funeral earlier this week.

RIP to those who needlessly lost their lives because of Iran’s desire for “hard revenge” …
