Sen. Elizabeth Warren had only just taken the stage at a New Hampshire town hall when she was interrupted by an irate man screaming at her.
The Democratic presidential candidate was confronted by the protester as she began the campaign event in Dover, standing silent as the man accused her of “siding with terrorists.”

Warren was only moments into her address to voters when the clearly angry man approached the front of the room, shouting.
“You’re siding with ISIS!” he screamed. “You’re siding with Iran! Why are you siding with terrorists?”
“You’re a fraud! My grandfather fought in WWII! ” he yelled, pointing at the Massachusetts senator. “Disgusting!”
He continued to yell as some in the audience began to boo and security approached him to leave.
Warren hardly moved but noted that “this is a man who’s deeply upset.”
“It’s alright. It’s time for you to leave,” she said into the microphone as he told her, “I hope you resign.”

Some in the crowd began chanting, “Warren! Warren!” as the man continued to vent. Another shouted, “get out now!”
“It’s good to be here in Dover,” Warren quipped after he had been escorted out.
The 2020 hopeful was asked about the confrontation after the town hall was over.
“I think getting into a shouting match with a man who’s so clearly disturbed is not helpful to him, and not helpful to anyone,” Warren said.
Attendees appeared to be happy with the way she handled the protester, as seen a report from the Boston Herald, which also gauged voter response to Warren’s campaign.

“I think she handled it really well,” Maine voter Cathy Lounsbury said. “I think she understood that there’s a lot of people that are hurting in our country.”
A New Hampshire voter at the event shared that he is looking for the candidate to “calm down a bit.”
“I think she’s an angry person as far as how she presents herself,” Dennis Vienneau told the outlet.
Though Warren did not address the issues with the protester, she had in recent days expressed her criticism of President Trump for ordering a drone strike that killed top Iranian leader and terrorist Qassem Soleimani. The Massachusetts lawmaker had come under fire for not directing her criticism at the Iranian military leader and for making conflicting statements about him.
Warren was confronted on her apparent “flip-flop” on “The View” when Meghan McCain asked her “why it was so hard to call him a terrorist.”

Warren continued to deflect, turning the focus on Trump for the “assassination” of the Iranian until she finally admitted that “of course” Soleimani was a terrorist.
Friday’s town hall incident prompted many reactions on social media where Twitter users called Warren out and agreed with the man who challenged her.
