Language warning ( of course):
Comedian Ricky Gervais fired back at critics who have been tearing into him over his reality check on Hollywood during the Golden Globe Awards show.
No sooner had the 58-year-old actor and creator of the British television series “The Office” delivered his scathing monologue, which hilariously called out Hollywood elites for clichéd attitudes and behavior, than the left predictably turned on him for hurting their sensitive feelings.

The same liberals who cheer on the expected award show rants and hysteria about President Donald Trump and his supporters now slammed Gervais, no fan of the president, for shredding Tinseltown over its hypocrisy.
“How the f*** can teasing huge corporations, and the richest, most privileged people in the world be considered right wing?” the five-time Golden Globes host asked in a tweet on Monday.

Indeed.
The volley of mocking observations during the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday were aimed specifically, with Gervais airing Hollywood’s dirty laundry before calling out the “woke” attendees.
“You say you’re woke,” Gervais told the audience, “but the companies you work for are unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney–If ISIS started a streaming service you’d call your agent wouldn’t you?”
“So if you do win an award tonight don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg,” he added, referring to the teenage climate activist embraced by liberals.
“So if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent and your god and then f**k off,” he concluded.
No doubt, a predictable night filled with anti-Trump jokes would have made the liberals much happier and, according to a Los Angeles Times’ television critic, Gervais was the “last thing anyone needed.”
The #GoldenGlobes mood was already sober thanks to an impeachment, threat of war with Iran and Australian bush fires. The last thing anyone needed was Ricky Gervais there, telling them they sucked. https://t.co/58PAMOikhu

And the overly-sensitive continued to whine about having the mirror turned on themselves.
Just how big a jerk was Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes? https://t.co/Eecz2Znl1F

Of course, the more liberals complained, the funnier it was.
It had to be difficult watching The #GoldenGlobes from this position. pic.twitter.com/jQuvpdeHuF

Hours after the show, Gervais thanked fans for their support in a tweet declaring he was happy the show was over.
Thanks for all your amazing comments about my Golden Globes monologue. Best reaction ever and that means a lot to me. I had a blast but thank fuck it’s over, so I can get back to my real job of editing #AfterLife2 and touring #SuperNature. Make Jokes, Not War ? pic.twitter.com/u1bKrnDWMt

But 24 hours later, Gervais’ pointed question to his critics raised a valid point.
The worst part – he didn’t actually say anything against the left – it was about pedophiles, serial rapists, & hypocrisy with a few specific jokes about old school actors. I’m raising my eyebrows over why the far left is taking so much offense.

Many on Twitter were ready with their take on the left’s meltdown over the monologue by Gervais.
Because you criticized the people who run the Left

You entered the Hollywood bubble and destroyed it with a chainsaw

Cuz the Left is mentally ill.

*the media assembles*
Anything anyone says that hurts a Lib’s little feelings is now considered “right wing” and “bigoted.” Didn’t you get the memo released November 8th, 2016? https://t.co/VTx0sfsfMN

“The ‘right-wing’ smear isn’t sticking on this one, guys…have we tried ‘russian asset’ yet?”— PragerU (@prageru) January 6, 2020
Because you teased the ”leftist” privileged elite and the companies that support them. They don’t like their own raging hypocrisy rubbed in their face so now they must vilify you the only way they know how.
Welcome to the club. ??

Only because they are all left wing, Ricky @rickygervais
But everyone that wasn’t in that room love every glorious minute of it. Brilliant! ????— Eric Carmen (@RealEricCarmen) January 7, 2020
No one on the left has laughed since 2016.
