Not preoccupied with passing gas on live television. Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif, is demanding that President Donald Trump justify his actions as commander in chief to take out one of Iran’s top military leaders, Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Taking to Twitter, Swalwell tweeted: “The President must show Americans whatever specific intelligence he has to support his action; a legal justification for acting without proper congressional authorization for military force; & a strategic rationale w/ a concrete plan for dealing with its inevitable consequences.”

The Democratic response to taking out Soleimani, who has the blood of hundreds of Americans on his hand and was considered to be more dangerous than Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or Osama bin Laden, has been a cross between attacking the president and fear-mongering to stir the American public.
Undermining Trump is so routine that Democrats will do so even when up against a longstanding foe like Iran — and they accuse him of treason — but Swalwell probably wasn’t expecting a response from a colleague from across the aisle.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, offered to be Swalwell’s huckleberry.
A former Navy SEAL deployed five times to Afghanistan and Iraq, Crenshaw was the recipient of two Bronze Stars before being medically retired in Sept. 2016 after losing his eye while fighting in Afghanistan.
The combat veteran quickly schooled his Democratic colleague on President Trump’s actions.
“Ok, I’ll take this one: 1. They just attacked our Embassy 2. War Powers Resolution
3. Disrupt their systematic escalation of violence against us and ensure they know attacks will be met with consequences. Pretty simple,” he tweeted.

There have been a series of provocative actions from Iran since last summer when two oil tankers exploded in the Persian Gulf, culminating with the recent death of a U.S. contractor at a base in Iraq and the subsequent attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
The embassy was targeted after a U.S. airstrike killed 25 fighters of an Iran-backed militia, Kata’ib Hezbollah, in retaliation for the killing of the U.S. contractor.
Given the responses online, if Swalwell had any sense of shame whatsoever, he would stay away from social media. Then again, if he had any shame, he would not have run for president.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Well, it is Swalwell, after all.
He needs the large crayons and a very simple flowchart to understand anything. pic.twitter.com/U0L3kHHIZl— Trish?????️✈️??? (@Vixen95Trish) January 5, 2020
Yep, even an authoritarian intent on nuking non compliant citizens for not relinquishing their legal firearms should be able to grasp the consequences. Oh, wait…

In other words, we cannot back down after being attacked.
We cannot show weakness.

Fartwell has yet to show us that he personally has any basic intelligence.

You may want to use smaller words when addressing @RepSwalwell Sir. Maybe draw him some pictures. Surely you understand that he’s “special”.
