In September, Joe Biden chastised Texas Governor Greg Abbott for signing into law a bill allowing lawful gun owners to carry firearms in places of worship.
“Dealing with firearms, it is irrational, with all due respect to the governor of Texas, irrational what they are doing,” Biden told reporters. “On the very day you see a mass shooting … and we’re talking about loosening access to have guns, to be able to take them into places of worship, it’s just absolutely irrational. It’s totally irrational.”

It is in fact that very law that on Sunday saved countless lives in Texas when armed church-goers quickly stopped a would-be mass murderer who had carnage in mind. The unidentified shooter killed two during a service at West Freeway Church of Christ near Ft. Worth before being stopped with one shot to the head by a volunteer member of the congregation’s security team.
You literally can not make this stuff up. The Democrats look like bigger morons by the day.

First shot fired, to neutralizing bad guy = 2.5 seconds.
No armed churchgoers = many more dead. pic.twitter.com/zEdhKAc8iw

The life-saving legislation passed earlier in 2019, more than a year after a shooter killed 26 in a Sutherland Springs, Texas, church. The law struck down a previous provision that prohibited handguns from being carried in churches, synagogues, and other places of worship.
At the time it was going through the legislative process, Republican State Senator Donna Campbell told the Texas Tribune: “The existing statute is confusing and clunky and has kept law-abiding Texans from exercising their second [amendment] rights where those with evil intentions have tragically targeted innocent lives. This bill provides clarity of the Legislature’s intent to treat churches and houses of worship in the same manner as other privately owned establishments in Texas.”
The Sutherland Springs massacre at the First Baptist Church was the deadliest shooting at a place of worship in American history. That shooting was finally brought to a halt by a neighbor outside the church who shot and wounded the gunman then gave chase and reported the killer’s location to police who found him dead from a self-inflicted wound.
Unbelievably, gun-grabbers failed then to acknowledge and they continue to deny today the need for law-abiding citizens to have the ability to defend themselves against armed assailants.
Gun-grabbing 2020 Dem presidential flop Beto O’Rourke predictably emerged from whatever hidey-hole he has been in to tweet, “So saddened to hear about another church shooting in Texas, this one in White Settlement near Fort Worth. Clearly what we are doing in Texas, what we are doing in this country, when it comes to guns is not working.”
The fool was succinctly put in his place by Katie Pavlich and others …
The shooter was stopped within three seconds, preventing further carnage, by a law abiding citizen carrying a firearm. He is a hero. You are a moron. https://t.co/lRjTnWHkMM
