The cognitive dissonance of the left knows no bounds …
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine last week, MSNBC host Chuck Todd — an extremely partisan left-wing operative, if ever one existed — admitted that in recent days he’s come to believe the entire right, from the administration of President Donald Trump to the Republican Party, thrives off of disinformation/misinformation.
As examples, he cited Sens. John Kennedy and Ted Cruz’s fact-based assertions that, despite Democrat Party lies, certain Ukrainian officials made efforts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. This is an indisputable fact, period, but according to the Democrat Party and its media bellboys, this fact isn’t a fact.
Zero mention of Chalupa, Nellie Ohr, Fusion GPS, or the trials in Ukraine … of course.
Similar strategy all over the wider media/democratic party: focus on bogus server theory, omit the rest.

“I’ll just be honest, when I had the third senator [to point out the facts about Ukraine’s interference], Senator Ted Cruz, come on my show and do this — who I did not expect to do this — I started to think, he wants the confrontation. He wants to use this for some sort of appeasement of the right,” Todd said to Rolling Stone.
“I was genuinely shocked. … So I do think one of the things that I want to explore on this is the incentive structure. One of the things we don’t fully appreciate in mainstream media on these attacks is that it’s become fun to attack the press, if that makes sense, on the right. It doesn’t matter if we’re right or wrong, attack them anyway.”
The entire premise of his shtick — one that’s frequently boasted by the establishment media — is that members of the right purposefully share disinformation to attract criticism from the media. They then turn around and scream to the GOP base, “Look at the media attacking us! They’re so evil! They’re all fake news! Boooo!”
Except that’s not how things work AT ALL. More on this later.
Stunningly, members of the far-left — including the many who dot the media landscape — responded to Todd’s admission with rage over it apparently taking him three years of Trump being in office to finally recognize the alleged truth about the right.
According to far-left media critic Jay Rosen, Todd’s late conclusion is malpractice.
“While the theme of the interview was waking up to the truth of Republican actions in the information warfare space, Todd went to sleep on the implications of what he revealed. … You cannot call that an oversight. It’s a strategic blindness that he superintended,” he wrote in a piece published Thursday.

It’s almost as if these people live in an alternative reality dominated by alternative facts.
In their ivory tower echo chamber, there’s only one narrative — that of the Democrat Party. And any narrative that belies the Democrat Party’s narrative is fake news, disinformation, misinformation, you name it. And you’d best believe that it doesn’t matter an iota when the actual facts show otherwise — as they all too often do.
But the most remarkable aspect of this whole debacle — from Todd’s thoughts on the GOP to the subsequent complaints from the Twitterati — is their collective cognitive dissonance and utter disconnect from reality.
These are, after all, the same people who have spread blatant conspiracy theories and misinformation/disinformation/LIES …

These same charlatans kvetching about alleged GOP misinformation/disinformation are responsible for most of the misinformation/disinformation out there.
But remember, folks, when the media routinely and habitually share misinformation/disinformation that benefits the Democrat Party’s narrative, it’s just a mistake, didn’t you know? And any effort to call it out is rooted in “bad faith.”
So are any questions of why the hell a reporter with The Washington Post would post a celebratory image to Twitter captioned with “Merry Impeachmas from the WaPo team.”
