No matter how many times the partisan left-wing mainstream establishment media repeat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s lies, the fact remains that they’re lies.
So it doesn’t matter that the Associated Press and its partners ran a piece early Friday morning titled, “Pelosi: Power of gavel means Trump is ‘impeached forever.’”
Nor does it matter that Pelosi genuinely believes that President Donald Trump has indeed been impeached all the way and will remain that way forever.
“He just got impeached. He’ll be impeached forever. No matter what the Senate does. He’s impeached forever because he violated our Constitution,” she bragged to the AP. “If I did nothing else, he saw the power of the gavel there. And it wasn’t me, it was all of our members making their own decision.”
And of course, the glaringly biased propagandists in the media have bought this narrative hook, line and sinker:
Yesterday I wrote, “there is no way to deny the facts of Wednesday evening’s vote.” Maybe I spoke too soon! https://t.co/qQnzcygEvy

But as noted earlier, it’s not technically true.
And the evidence of this originates not with Republican commentators and pundits such as Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, for instance, but rather with one of the very same expert witnesses whom House Democrats eagerly invited to testify against the president earlier this month.
Noah Feldman is his name, and he’s a Harvard Law School professor who enthusiastically argued in front of the House Intelligence Committee on Dec. 4 that the Founding Fathers would have found the president deserving of impeachment.
“I believe the framers would identify president Trump’s conduct as exactly the kind of abuse of office high crime and misdemeanor that they were worried about,” he said.
Yet weeks later, the same smug anti-Trump zealot is now 100 percent confident that no, the president hasn’t actually been impeached yet. Why? Because of Pelosi’s reported refusal to transfer the articles of impeachment to the GOP-led Senate.
“Impeachment as contemplated by the Constitution does not consist merely of the vote by the House, but of the process of sending the articles to the Senate for trial,” he wrote in a widely shared column published to Bloomberg on Thursday.
“Both parts are necessary to make an impeachment under the Constitution: The House must actually send the articles and send managers to the Senate to prosecute the impeachment. And the Senate must actually hold a trial.”

“To be sure, if the House just never sends its articles of impeachment to the Senate, there can be no trial there,” he continued. “That’s what the ‘sole power to impeach’ means.”
“But if the House never sends the articles, then Trump could say with strong justification that he was never actually impeached. And that’s probably not the message Congressional Democrats are hoping to send.”
True, but who will actually hear that message? Only the people who think critically and pay attention. As for those who just blindly read media headlines and stories, they’re apt to just assume that the president has indeed been impeached.
“As for the headlines we saw after the House vote saying, ‘TRUMP IMPEACHED,’ those are a media shorthand, not a technically correct legal statement,” Feldman noted.
Yes, and those headlines have been legion:
President Trump has become the third president in US history to be impeached.
The House passed both articles of impeachment: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

And on the 1,063rd day of his presidency, Donald Trump was impeached.

In conclusion, the legal scholar wrote, “So far, the House has voted to impeach (future tense) Trump. He isn’t impeached (past tense) until the articles go to the Senate and the House members deliver the message.”
And there it is.
While this is mostly a semantical technicality, it still speaks volumes that the media have chosen to ignore it and instead run with the Democrat Party’s narrative.
Shouldn’t some attempt have been made to push back on her claim, at least?
No matter, because social media users have rushed to do the job for the media’s “journalists” and inform Pelosi of the facts of the matter:
Trump is not impeached until you send the articles to the Senate. @SpeakerPelosi @CBSNews @ABC @MSNBC_Breaking @FoxNews

@SpeakerPelosi I told you yesterday your age has caught up to you. President Trump hasn’t been impeached until it goes to the Senate and there is a trial. Back in the day Pelosi you would have never backed yourself into such a corner…..

Actually he’s not impeached since @SpeakerPelosi refuses to send the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate. Thanks, Sea Hag! #IMPOTUS

According to the Constitution, impeachment is a process, not a vote. TRUMP 2020!!! @SpeakerPelosi , you and your freshman lefts are such fools! You will lose in the Senate no matter what! And you are not taking away our vote!— ddtucciranch (@ddtucciranch1) December 20, 2019
Remember, according to Feldman, whose wisdom Democrats themselves cited when holding their impeachment hearings, the president will remain NOT IMPEACHED until Pelosi gets the courage to send the articles of impeachment to the GOP-led Senate.
Sorry, lady, but them’s the breaks in life.
