‘Girl, stop talking right now!’ Whoopi tells co-host to shut up in ugly on-air spat. McCain says plenty off ‘The View’

Whoopi Goldberg abruptly shut down Meghan McCain on Monday’s “The View” episode as she was trying to rebut a runaway discussion by the rest of the panel on the righteousness of impeachment. Following her silencing by Goldberg, McCain took to Twitter to make her points, declaring “I won’t be quiet.”

A short video segment ( WATCH BELOW) showing the end of the clash is striking in that it could easily be seen as a dramatic parody of how the whole conservative viewpoint of the Trump impeachment issue is treated in the media.

As McCain barely started making her point following a soliloquy by Sunny Hostin, Hostin interrupted her and refused to allow McCain to continue. Goldberg jumped in and brashly denounced McCain, demanding, “Girl, please stop talking. Please stop talking right now.”

Emotions were clearly running high and McCain declared she would not talk the rest of the show.

Goldberg replied, “I’m OK with that,” and a disapproving murmur arose from the audience.

“If you’re going to behave like this …” Goldberg said.

“I’m not behaving like anything,” McCain shot back.

At that point, Goldberg cut to a commercial. McCain remained silent through the next topic of discussion when the broadcast resumed.

Soon after the show, McCain determinedly went to Twitter to share the points that apparently the other View co-hosts wanted to quash.

Certainly no friend of Trump, McCain still calls herself conservative and purportedly on The View represents a voice from the right side of the political aisle. She does aim to speak for many conservative causes and to counter the leftist wave on the program.

The show came to a halt as McCain was apparently about to point out that the latest polls show that now most people oppose impeachment, which is something that would be a surprise for many since the mainstream media attempts to portray public support for impeachment as overwhelming.

“Pretending half the country doesn’t exist won’t make them disappear,” McCain concluded. “The culture war is real, and Americans who aren’t part of the overwhelmingly anti-conservative media deserve to have their views represented,” she tweeted.

More than 10,000 people have replied to McCain’s third tweet alone in less than 24 hours.

Impeachment and the media’s coverage, not to mention the approaching 2020 election, are clearly stirring up political passions that are far from peaking.
