An Oklahoma congresswoman became another on a growing list of Democrat lawmakers facing angry constituents over their efforts to impeach President Donald Trump.
Rep. Kendra Horn got an earful from voters last week who were angry about the relentless focus of Democrats on impeachment while ignoring the real issues Americans care about.

“We want Congress to get back to work for the American people, please,” Ronda Peterson, a self-described conservative, told Horn whose district was won by Trump in 2016.
“We’re mad, mad as hell,” one man told the lawmaker.
“As an independent voter, I think you’re in a lot of trouble if you vote for this impeachment,” resident Susan Jaslow told the Democrat, according to The Oklahoman.
Horn expressed her frustration, telling Peterson “that’s not what I’m doing on a day-to-day basis.”
“I didn’t run to impeach anybody. I ran to fight for Oklahoma, for education, for health care … and that’s where I’ve been spending my time,” she said.
But like many of Horn’s constituents, Calvin Moore, the Deputy Communications Director at the Congressional Leadership Fund, was not buying the congresswoman’s rhetoric.
“Congresswoman Kendra Horn wants to blame everyone but herself allowing this impeachment nonsense to take over Washington,” Moore said in a statement. “But Kendra Horn cast her vote with the radical left and their crazed attempts to remove President Trump from office, and no amount of spin is going to be enough to make voters forget that. Kendra Horn’s constituents are on to her game and they’re fed up — not a good sign for her chances of getting re-elected next year.”
Horn, who won her seat with just 0.3% of the vote, is in the same vulnerable position as several dozen of her Congressional colleagues and will be challenged by eight Republicans so far who have announced they will run against her in 2020.

Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger of Virginia faced her angry constituents at a heated town hall meeting where those attending shouted, “Let our votes count!”
Freshman Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, also in a Trump-supporting district, had been pushing for impeachment and tried to defend her position to voters who responded with jeers and criticism.

Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale noted how Democrats are marching “off the plank and into the abyss” under the leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“Impeachment is killing her freshman members and polling proves it,” he added, noting Horn’s data.

“Look, these guys will be up for reelection in the House of Representatives at the same time Trump would be up for reelection,” Sen. Jim Inhofe told KGOU. “I just can’t imagine anyone voting to impeach a President that’s very popular in their districts.”
