Trump taunts Dems with Giuliani: He’ll report to DOJ on recent trip to Ukraine, ‘I hear he’s found plenty’

Speaking to reporters Saturday afternoon outside the White House, President Donald Trump said his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani “has a lot of good information” after last week’s trip to Ukraine and will present a report to Congress and Attorney General William Barr.

The president was vague about Giuliani’s travels to Kyiv and what discoveries he may have made while there.

“I just know he came back from someplace and he’s going to make a report,” Trump said. “I think to the Attorney General and to Congress — he’s going to give us a lot of good information.”

“He says he has a lot of good information,” the president continued. “I haven’t spoken to him about that information. But Rudy, as you know, has been one of the great crime fighters in the last 50 years. And he did get back from Europe just recently and he has not told me what he’s found but I think he wants to go before Congress and say, and also the Attorney General and the Department of Justice. I hear he’s found plenty, yeah.”

Among those Giuliani reportedly met with was Ukrainian politician Yuriy Lutsenko, a former prosecutor general who proposed a joint corruption investigation between the U.S. and Ukraine — Lutsenko, who has met with Giuliani before, is seen as a central figure in the impeachment inquiry and has claimed that then-U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch gave him a do not prosecute list when he first met with her.

Calling the Democratic Party’s one-sided impeachment inquiry a “farce,” Giuliani took to Twitter on Thursday to comment on corruption in Ukraine under former President Barack Obama, promising the evidence “will all be released very soon.”

“The American people will learn that Biden & other Obama administration officials, contributed to the increased level of corruption in Ukraine between 2014 to 2016,” he tweeted. “This evidence will all be released very soon.”

Giuliani followed that up with a series of tweets Friday about a “shocking disclosure,” that “much” of the $5.3 billion in U.S. aide reported as misused by Ukraine “was given to the embassy’s favored NGO’s.”

According to Giuliani, this occurred during the Obama administration, with former Vice President Joe Biden being the point man there and with Yovanovitch as the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine.

He alleged that the “Obama embassy urged Ukrainian police NOT to investigate” the matter, concluding with an ominous claim that “a large scale joint investigation into Ukraine and the US would uncover and recover billions stolen by crooks, from both countries, at the highest levels.”

All the while, the liberal media continues to assure the American public that there is “no evidence of wrongdoing” in Ukraine during the previous administration.
