The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway tore up former FBI lawyer Lisa Page and her “woe is me” act claiming to be the real victim in the Russian collusion delusion.
The Fox News contributor wasn’t buying Page’s claims and her reason for breaking her silence by speaking out in an interview with The Daily Beast.

“So I decide to try to read Lisa Page’s ‘woe is me’ take about how she’s the real victim in the Russia hoax she participated in,” Hemingway tweeted, referring to the interview published on Sunday.
So I decide to try to read Lisa Page’s “woe is me” take about how she’s the real victim in the Russia hoax she participated in. Page is quoted saying something about how she decided to speak out (not because the IG report is about to make her and her cohorts look bad) but because

Page, who was involved with former FBI agent Peter Strzok in an extramarital affair, claimed she felt compelled to speak out after President Trump supposedly mocked her with a “fake orgasm” during a campaign rally.

“Honestly, his demeaning fake orgasm was really the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Page said, referring to Trump’s ridiculing imitation of what the notorious text messages between her and Strzok must have sounded like.

“I had stayed quiet for years hoping it would fade away, but instead it got worse,” Page told a sympathetic Molly Jong-Fast, who authored The Daily Beast piece. “It had been so hard not to defend myself, to let people who hate me control the narrative. I decided to take my power back.”
Page was mocked on social media after the interview was published and Hemingway took things a step further by poking holes in her narrative.
“Page is quoted saying something about how she decided to speak out (not because the IG report is about to make her and her cohorts look bad) but because Trump faked an orgasm to mock her for her infidelities, but the link substantiating this claim goes to a screed (and I do mean screed) that doesn’t explain the reference at all,” she wrote.

“I don’t see how anyone remotely knowledgeable [If You Know What I Mean, And I Think You Do] could describe this as a faked orgasm,” Hemingway added, linking to the video clip of Trump’s Minneapolis rally in October.
Hemingway panned the rest of the piece as unimpressive, noting “other attempts to pre-dump” before the release of the report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
Anyway, as for the rest of the piece, I’m about as impressed with it as I am all of the other attempts to pre-dump before the IG report. Maybe their claims that they’ll be completely exonerated for all of their actions are 100% true. But, given their track record, I’m skeptical.

Washington Examiner’s Byron York also called out Page’s claims of being the victim, noting writing from the IG last year that contradicted her argument.
Many note Lisa Page has decided to talk on eve of IG report release. True. But IG has already written (in 2018) that Page & Strzok caused damage that ‘goes to the heart of the FBI’s reputation for neutral factfinding and political independence.’ https://t.co/8BjabXS5vp pic.twitter.com/7MomA18Shp
