Democratic gaffe machine Joe Biden continued his role as the unofficial chair of the Trump reelection campaign by making another epic blunder that underscores that someone should put a fork in him. Because he’s done. This time, Biden — who never met Kim Jong Un — claimed he “spent a lot of time” with the leader of North Korea.
Biden spouted the boldfaced lie during a campaign stop in Iowa on Nov. 30. Joe bragged to a tiny roomful of supporters that authoritarian leaders like Kim Jong Un will never fool him because he knows who they are at their core, which is brutal dictators.
“You’re gonna have to assume that position from the moment they are sworn in on January the 20th and know the rest of the world knows that person — in this case, me — and that I know them,” Biden boasted.
Joe continued: “Putin has no illusions about whether I know him or not. Kim Jong Un is another person [who knows] whether I know him or not. The same with Xi Jinping. I’ve spent a lot of time with these folks. They know, they know [me],” Biden said.

For the record, Biden never met Kim because his boss, Barack Obama, ignored Kim during his eight-year presidency. Obama’s foreign policy toward North Korea was “ignore the problem and it’ll go away.”
In contrast, President Trump opened talks with the hermit kingdom, saying communication is the only way to promote peace. Predictably, Trump was trashed by the Left and their media minions for the move, which has eased tensions in that part of the world and deescalated hostility between the U.S. and North Korea.
During the Obama presidency, Kim Jong Un built up a stockpile of weapons. His brutal regime also jailed and tortured American college student Otto Warmbier for taking a poster from a hotel in Pyongyang. At the time, Otto was visiting North Korea as part of a 2016 tour with a China-based tour company.
Warmbier spent 18 months rotting in jail before President Trump negotiated his release. Warmbier was in a coma at the time he was returned to the United States and died a week later of apparent brain damage.
Instead of being outraged that a fellow American had been unlawfully jailed, leftists gleefully blamed Warmbier for his arrest, citing his “white privilege.”
Compare this to the media’s fawning treatment of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi Arabian citizen who was reportedly killed by the Saudis in 2018.

The Left never condemned Barack Obama for doing NOTHING to help Otto, who died at age 22 in June 2017, after Trump secured his release.
Warmbier’s dad thanked President Trump for bringing his son home, and said Obama told him to stay quiet about Otto’s captivity.

Meanwhile, left-wing media outlets did not assign any blame to the four Iranian-Americans who were jailed in Iran during Obama’s presidency.
While Obama told Otto Warmbier’s dad to stay silent about his son’s captivity, he worked tirelessly to negotiate the release of the Iranians detained in Iran.
Keep in mind that Iran felt it had the right to arrest those prisoners because they held dual citizenship (Iran and the United States). Tehran does not recognize dual citizenship, and treated the arrests as a domestic matter that the U.S. should butt out of.
In contrast, Warmbier was 100% a U.S. citizen. North Korea had absolutely no “claim” on him, and therefore, no right to detain him.
In January 2016, the four Iranian-Americans jailed in Iran were released after the Obama administration delivered a ransom of $400 million in cash (that’s taxpayer money).
So what was the difference between Otto Warmbier and the Iranians that Obama worked so hard to free? These are their names:

- Saeed Abedini
- Jason Rezaian
- Nosratollah Khosravi-Roodsari.
