Fox News host Steve Hilton urged President Trump to disassociate himself from “toxic chumps” like his lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
The host of “The Next Revolution” unloaded Sunday on the former New York City mayor as an “unethical disaster” while also calling out other “grifters” who have led Trump “astray” in the Ukraine controversy.

Hilton recapped how the Ukraine “fiasco” started, noting the “wild stories cooked up by a Ukrainian oligarch and amplified” by his lawyers, including Giuliani.
He went on to argue that Trump’s personal attorney has been using his relationship with the president to “enrich himself,” referring to a New York Times report indicating he pursued his own private business in Ukraine during the time he was supposed to be acting on the president’s behalf.
“It turns out that the former mayor’s own personal business interests are wrapped up in all of this. To put it simply, he’s been trying to enrich himself on the back of his relationship with President Trump,” Hilton said.
Giuliani denied The Times report, which echoed a previous article in The Washington Post which also reported on negotiations he held in Ukraine, contending that no deals were ever made. Giuliani allegedly held “talks” that would arrange for his company, Giuliani Partners LLC, to receive at least $200,000 for representing former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, according to The Post.
“I thought that would be too complicated,” Giuliani said, according to The Times. “I never received a penny.”
Giuliani associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who worked with him in Ukraine dealings, are currently facing federal charges on campaign finance crimes and are connected to an effort to recall the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie L. Yovanovitch.
As scrutiny bears down on Giuliani, he dismissed the accusations again last week while speaking with TMZ at Reagan National Airport.
“Me ending up in jail?” he asked. “Fifty years of being a lawyer, 50 years of ethical, dedicated practice of the law, probably have prosecuted more criminals of a high level than any U.S. attorney in history. I think I follow the law very carefully. I think the people pursuing me are desperate, sad, angry, disappointing liars. They’re hurting their country. And I’m ashamed of them.”
But “The Next Revolution” host was “fed up” and suggested the president would be better ff without the “hangers-on” like Giuliani.
“You know what, I’m just fed up with the lot of them. Rudy Giuliani was a great mayor and a great leader, but he’s turned into an unmitigated, and now it seems unethical, disaster,” Hilton continued on his show. “While President Trump has been trying to govern for the American people, all these hangers-on have been trying to make money for themselves off Trump.”
Hilton railed against the former New York City mayor and others for their part in the Ukraine scandal, calling them a “bunch of chancers, grifters and spivs” who have been “taking advantage of the president to do dodgy deals in the world’s shadiest places.”
“Before they completely derail this presidency and it’s substantive, historic policy results on China, the economy and much more, it’s time to dump these toxic chumps,” Hilton said, telling his panel later that he thinks “they really led President Trump astray and I’m fed up with it.”
